Mia felt that Ethan probably hadn't expected her to suddenly reveal this fact. He didn't respond to her for a long time.
She looked out the window, her clear eyes revealing a hint of disappointment. "Ethan, the reason you told me about the document was to try to undermine William, right?"
"How did you find out about this?" Ethan finally spoke, his voice lower than before.
"You don't need to know how I found out about your identity..." she said slowly. "Ethan, I'm very disappointed."
It took Ethan a long time to speak again. "Do you really think I'm trying to stop you and William from being together just to oppose him?"
"I don't know... but Ethan, the fact that you hid your other identity from me is true."
"It seems I underestimated William."
She shook her head, not wanting to dwell on these issues anymore. "Ethan, I know that even if you're opposing William, you wouldn't hurt me... I'm very grateful for your help, but I think your understanding of William is one-sided."
