William handed the club to the caddy beside him and prepared to leave.
Hazel watched William's departing figure, biting her lip. "Do you not want to see me at all?"
William didn't stop walking.
With a hint of tears in her voice, Hazel continued, "If you won't stop and listen to me say one thing, I'll take a blade out of my purse right now and end it in front of you."
William's body stiffened slightly, and his steps finally came to a halt.
Hazel stared intently at William, her eyes glistening with tears. She choked out, "I know you're married now, but can't we even be friends?"
William's cold gaze was fixed on the distance, his lips indifferent as he said, "I stopped here not because I'm afraid you'll choose to end your life in the next second, but because I want to give you a warning—when you think about death, you should think about your family and friends. If you feel there's nothing to regret, then you can do whatever you want."
