Max woke up and he stretched out his arms even though he is superhuman he can still get tired and the fact that only 3 days passed he of course was tired.
He saw that poppy wasn't around but Doey was walking around and noticed max who was awake.
Doey: oh hiya pal I see you're awake.
Max: yeah I've been here for at least 3 days. What happened with the prototype and catnap?
Doey: well found them but they just went to the caves and it's a good thing too because at least he's away from save haven.
Max: good.
Doey: hey um can we talk in private? Poppy told me a lot about you.
Max: fine.
Doey let max to the generator room and from there Doey grew a serious look.
Doey: poppy told about what you did to her body and honestly I don't believe it but her new appearance i can't exactly deny it.
Max: yeah did she also tell you about who and what I am?
Doey: yeah you're an exorcist right I don't really get it but you basically do bizarre things.
Max: so what are you getting at?
Doey: can you do what you did to poppy making me less than this?
Max: do you want to be a half spirit?
Doey: yeah that thing. But before we do that can I talk about something else? It's about the current situation of the save haven.
Max: what is it?
Doey put his hand on the generator and looked at it with a look of worry.
Doey: you see this? This our generator this is free from that mean doctor's range but it's slowly breaking down I'm. Not exactly smart when it comes to this but can I ask you for a favor?
Max: you need some from the doc right?
Doey: yes. We need his Omni hand to fix the generator.
Max: I'll do that when I get a chance.
Doey: thanks. Hey the toys in here. There like family to me. Poppy has a plan to finish the prototype but.
Doey grabbed his small hat and just looked completely lost on what to do.
Max picked up that something wasn't right.
Max: what's poppy's plan Doey and tell me the truth.
Doey was a bit reluctant but a part of him didn't want to go through with this but.
Doey: you know the red smoke you moved? Did she tell you that it was sensitive to high temperatures?
Max: no she didn't- wait a minute are you saying that she is planning to blow up the facility!?
Doey: yes she-
Max: that's suicide booming!!
Doey was a bit surprised by his outburst but at that moment the group came into the probably because of his shout.
But poppy was in the crowd.
Poppy: what's going why are you-
She didn't finish have time to finish because max grabbed her by the neck and slammed her against the wall shocking everyone.
Dogday: max what the hell are you doing!?
Max: you fucking snake!! You mean to fucking tell the red smoke that we help you transfer was your plan to blow up the whole goddamn place!! Along with these toy!?
Marie: max what are you talking about!? Why would she do that!?
Doey: to kill the prototype.
Kissy: wait she wasn't going to do anything bad she was going to save the children from the prototype's home.
Max: what the hell are you talking about?
Poppy: the kids are alive but in a stasis way the same way that you found me in that case.
Max: but what are still asking us to basically do a suicide booming to kill the prototype and free the children then what about the toys?
Poppy: I don't see another way!
Max: bullshit! I can kill the prototype and any other enemy that is my way! So get the idea to out of your mind because I'm going to beat the prototype myself!
Poppy: what about catnap huh? If he's a lost soul than he will cause you problems.
Max: he's just a new born lost soul he won't get any stronger and besides most of the spirits in this place are gone so as long as there's no other spirits here he's staying weak.
Kissy: so we aren't going to blow up this place?
Max: and kill everyone here no. Enough innocent have died. Doey turned around I'm going to work.
Doey was unsure of this but he decided to give max the benefit of the doubt but a part of him is telling him that he's lying but he just ignored that thought.
Max touched doey's back and it felt like touching actual Doey but now it wasn't the time to play with the doughman.
He did the same thing as for the others but this one took longer thanks to this being 3 souls in one body.
Doey felt like his life force was being drained from his body but he felt himself splitting in 3.
When max was done Doey was glowing and 3 bodies separated from the doughman and were 3 boys who were wearing a blue jack with different color patterns.
One boy had yellow patterns and looked like confused.
The second boy had orange patterns and had a dizzy look on his face.
While the third boy had red patterns and looked at max with a scowl.
The red one ran at max and grabbed him by the collar.
Kevin: what did do you bastard!
Max: so you're the one who has anger issues.
Kevin was confused but that was enough time for max to sweep his leg and put his head in the ground while pulling his arm to make sure he doesn't try anything.
Jack: wait don't hurt Kevin!
Kevin: shut up Jack I don't need your help.
Matthew: enough. *Sigh* max could get off him? He's aggressive but he's not a bad guy.
Max: if he attacks me again I'll break his arm.
He let go of Kevin who glared at him but max ignored it.
The others were stunned at the sight they expected Doey to be just one person but he's 3 kids.
Dogday: what? What the hell just happened?
Kissy: I thought Doey was just one person.
Matthew: yeah we were fused into Doey no clue how they did it but we were controlling every action Doey did sometimes a certain person gets in the way.
Kevin: hey the adults there were nothing but liars and at least i saved our hides in the hour of joy.
Jack: I agree with him but we didn't need to kill those other people.
Kevin: you two are soft and that's why we're stuck here we could have easily escaped! but no you two decided to play the hero and protect those toys
Matthew: that's too far Kevin you know-
Kevin: shut up! I had a family before all of this i never wanted to be turned into Doey! I never asked to be down here. and you know what!? Now that I have control over my own body I'm leaving.
He started to walk away leaving his previous body partners behind.
Matthew: are you mental you're going to get yourself killed out there!
Kevin: does it look like I care mat? I've trapped here for god knows how long and I'm not staying here for another second.
Jack: but the mean doctor will go after you did you forget he's still out there.
Kevin had enough of these two and grabbed Jack by the collar.
Kevin: you might not been an orphan Jack but I'm sick of being around you two always holding me back and I will kill you if get in my-
Max had enough of Kevin he grabbed his hand and he let out his killing intent leaving everyone in the room in fear.
Max: if you want to leave then get the hell out a hot head like you is just going to slow us down.
Kevin feeling the killing intent let go of Jack who had tears in his eyes.
He felt slightly bad but he shook that away by pretending to not care.
The other toys in the save haven saw the whole thing and they were scared of Kevin understandably so.
He walked towards the exit and boogie bot toy opened the door for him to leave and he walked away from safe haven swearing to never comeback.
Everyone watch one of their long Time protectors leaving them. Jack was hurt by Kevin's threat and decided to comfort the kid.
After a few minutes everything started to die down max explained about their new bodies and what they could do.
And when Matthew heard that he can't feel pain unless his soul is directly hit.
He used himself as food to feed the other toys who were starving.
The sight was gruesome but after the toys were full Matthew like Marie regenerated like he was never hurt to begin with.
As for Jack even though he stuck around with Kevin and Matthew for years he finally got free will but still he was just a kid.
Max told moline to be with him for a while and the two got along well thanks to moline being a sister figure she knew how to be around Jack who is younger than her.
He also turned the remaining toys into half spirits since at least they won't starve and end up hungry.
But now to address a problem and it's a big one.
If the crazy doc and prototype have been watching him then it's more likely that the prototype will get more subjects to turn into spirits.
If that the case now that the crew have a place to relax he decided that now is a good time to train them.
Kissy almost died thanks to the fact that cat nap has more in power and Marie is a match but she still isn't skilled in combat.
And for all he knows this is going to turn into a war and worse than it was before.
