Calmly, caressing its long thick beard, the chimera stared at him.
"I want to taste a perfect rank beast every day, and it is your duty to not leave me starving."
Sam nodded his head. An easy task.
"Kid! You misunderstood."
Sam's heart leapt out of his chest. Was this onto something?
"You have to clear perfect lairs without using beast souls, gear, or external help. Do you understand what I'm implying?"
Sam blinked. Training after training?
"Yes, mentor. I understand."
Sighing and turning his back, Sam departed from there.
"Where should I go to search for perfect lairs?"
"I should have asked."
Slapping his forehead, he sighed. How big a fool I am.
"Do you know where perfect lairs are?"
A voice resounded in his mind.
"Keep going, and you will see a river. Jump into that river, and you'll understand yourself."
