When I requested a heroine, everyone voted overwhelmingly for Irene.
So, I have some advance news for you: after the Tenrou Island incident, Irene will at least make a believable appearance.
At least in a non-forced way.
This is a line from Joel's words during the Tenrou Island incident:
"If a human can't defeat you, then I'll stop being a human."
Knowing that during this incident Joel was very strong unlike the current period, so you can imagine what happened during the battle!!
