With Kyle delivered, all I wanted right now was to get the fuck out of here.

Regardless of what came after, the word kill didn't sit right with me at the moment.
After managing to escape one entrapment, I had fallen into another and this one, unlike the last, was backed by the government of the most powerful state.
I had literally just watched two missiles fly past me.
"Can you repeat that?"
"I don't trust the three of them. This is for both your safety and the governor's."
Hearing Ninja Momma talk about trust, my eyes narrowed. Ever since I entered the Dome, I had been building a case against her.
How could she now say she didn't trust the people she had sent me to, the ones she had me risk my life with?
"Are you aware you were fooled?"
True, I had been suspicious of Ninja Momma, but my interrogation in the basement had cleared her of setting me up. Instead, she had fallen for a fake SOS.
"I suspected. That's why I sent you."
