Hisssss!!
From what looked like an empty space in the hall, the air—no, space itself began coiling and writhing as though reality were being rewritten. Then it stabilized to reveal a lady dressed in tight purple leather, wearing a black face mask and carrying a purple snake that curled around her neck.
The lady's sudden appearance stunned the men on the ground, causing them to leap to their feet, but I wasn't going to stand for that.
"Who said you could stand?"
My words went through the men like an electric shock, and they immediately collapsed to their knees, looking up at me pleadingly.
These six elites could no longer think for themselves. Their instincts led them now.
"You've broken them. You might as well have just killed them," the snake lady said, her arms crossed, not the least fear or wariness in her eyes.
"You should be more worried about yourself. Are you talking, or should I kill you?"
