"It is still a work in progress, I try to get the best new technological inventions to keep up with the times," Carlisle replies as he points towards a machine to the left.
"Do I just stand behind it?" Arthur asks as he walks towards the machine.
"Yes, change into these first, however," Carlisle says as he hands a blue medical cloth.
Giving a slight nod, Arthur walked behind the machine cover and changed into the cloth he was given.
"I'm ready."
"Alright, just stand there, should be done in a few seconds," Carlisle replies as he starts typing on a keyboard before the monitor next to the machine.
A few seconds later, the process is complete.
"Alright, it's done, you can wear your clothes again," Carlisle says as he looks at the monitor in front of him where an x-ray image of Arthur's body could be seen in black and white.
A few moments later, Arthur joined him, now dressed in his clothes once more.
"So are there any clear differences?" Arthur asks curiously as he looks at the monitor though from what he could see, the bone structure looked the be the same.
"No, there are no differences between your bone structure and that of a regular human. That likely means that it's only the physical toughness of your bones that is stronger than a regular human. We would have to take a part of your bone and study it to be for sure." Carlisle replies as he closes the monitor screen.
"Next is blood correct?" Arthur asks with a nod.
"Yes, for the next part, we're heading to the room over there, it's completely sealed and will stop any of the scents from escaping, this way Alice won't go feral," Carlisle replies in his usual soft voice as he points to a door on the right side of the room.
Alice who had stayed silent until now, walked outside the office.
Arthur meanwhile looked at the door.
Unlike the rest of the doors in the house, this one was metallic and clearly looked to be at least bulletproof.
"How did you manage to get this installed in here? Wouldn't the contractors or other people ask questions?" Arthur asked curiously as he walked inside the room.
The inside was completely padded by some kind of material that Alex couldn't identify and the room was quite small with only a small desk in the middle.
"I bought the door itself in another country and transported it here myself, it took a while for me to get proficient and learn how to complete the room however if nothing else, I do have time," Carlisle replied with a soft smile as he closed the door behind him, an audible whishing sound was heard as the door locked.
"Please sit on the desk," Carlisle said as he started taking out three clean vials.
Arthur gave a nod as he walked to the desk and sat down before rolling up his sleeve and showing his forearm.
Carlisle merely gave a nod and didn't wait any further as he took the blood and filled the vials.
"Does blood truly not affect you at all?" Arthur asked curiously as he watched the man.
"It does affect me however I have learned to control my impulses, I have a lot more practice than the others you could say. However, I also have a theory that a person's mental state and desires as a human matter a lot for when they become a vampire. That could be another reason." Carlisle replies as he caps the vials.
"Are we done? How are you even going to inspect the blood? You'll have to take it out of the vials and the others would be able to clearly catch its scent." Arthur asks curiously.
"I'll be inspecting it in the city hospital rather than here, at least most of it, for the final part I'll have to use the machines here however I can simply do it when the others go on for a hunt and aren't close by," Carlisle replies as he opens the bulletproof door, another whishing sound being heard as the airlock releases and the two head outside the room.
"Interesting, I'm quite curious to see if there is any change in the blood structure. Maybe an overall increase in blood cells? Or some kind of anomaly in them?" Arthur said as he walked to sit on the couch inside the office.
"I am as well, I've never actually seen a human with your capabilities, to say the least," Carlisle replies as he puts the blood-filled vials inside a suitcase.
"You may head on now, we are done for now. The testing of your physical capabilities will be done at a later date." Carlisle says softly as he nods towards the door.
"Alright. See you later doctor." Arthur replies with a nod as he walks towards the door and heads outside.
Walking downstairs back into the living room, Arthur met with the rest of the Cullens once more.
Edward is there as well this time, sitting on the couch next to Jasper and Emmet.
"Seem's like you've calmed down," Arthur says as blunt and bland in this tone as always as he moves to sit on the couch opposite the three of them.
Alice who had been with him in the office but had walked outside silently when the blood test had been done finally spoke again as she sat next to him on the couch.
"Your regeneration is also higher than a regular humans. I don't smell any blood on you even though you were pierced by the needle." Alice says with her curious almost hyperactive voice.
"That is probably the case, I don't really remember really having sores or any lasting wounds in my life," Arthur replies with a soft nod.
Edward who had been watching him until now silently finally speaks once more. It's clear from his tone of voice that the man was still agitated by Arthur's earlier words however he was maintaining his calmness.
"What do you propose that I do about this mate bond then Arthur?"
Arthur turns his head to give him a look before saying bluntly.
"Simply accept it. It's not something you have the capability to run from, at least from how attached Alice seems to have become with me, and if it's on the same level for you then it can't be helped." Arthur replies calmly as always.
"Your main problem isn't with Bella or what her circumstances are. It's with the fact that you perceive yourself as a monster and not a real person. That's the main problem that you need to find a solution to."
