He was expecting Jade to happily jump into his arms while expressing her happiness in having him around. Yet it seemed like she didn't even want him around.
"I said no. I can already see you preventing me from doing anything because of your overprotectiveness. There's no way I'd be able to improve my strength with you around. I say we should separate here. You go your way, I go mine. We now know that the other is alive. And that's enough for me" Jade replied.
"Well, too bad. I'm coming with you whether you like it or not. And I promise I won't get in your way. I know very well that you can properly take care of yourself. Chris resorted to threatening and begging at the same time.
