"Good practice today boys!" Coach clapped as we practically dragged ourselves from the pitch. It was a brutal practice. We were playing against the All Blacks, New Zealand, in a week and that was never a walk in the park. It felt like someone dragging you on a floor with rusty nails. "Since you lot have made me so proud, I've decided to give you the weekend off. We'll start with practice again Monday afternoon. Enjoy your weekends, rest and take some time for yourselves, ye?"
We all gave tired cheers which just made us laugh as Coach flipped us off before leaving with his entire team.
I went over to my bag close to the bench, plopped down and pulled my phone out. I didn't have much plans this weekend, Denny and I were planning to watch Edward's game at a pub with Hamish as a sort of boys night out. A fun calm weekend before brutal training the following week.
