POV – Before George Come Home

"Alright, be cool, okay?" Veronica looked at Georgie with urgency in her eyes.

"Damn it Georgie! You have to hide the evidence!" she added, quickly straightening out his wrinkled shirt.

"Evidence?! You attacked me!" Georgie shot back, helping her too. "And your hair's a mess!" He gently smoothed down her tousled locks.

Veronica gasped dramatically. "I attacked you?! Your hand was on my butt!" she huffed, grabbing her lipstick and put it on her sexy lips.

Georgie returned her gasp with equal flair. "You used your 'vulnerable lady' tactic on me! How am I supposed to fight against that?!" He slapped his own cheek to sober him up.

Veronica caught his hand mid-motion. "Hey, don't hurt yourself like that."

Georgie glared at her, "Now you're pretending you don't know what you did?!" he said, pointing to her lips now coated in lipstick. "How can I compete with that?!"

Veronica giggled as she checked her reflection in the car's rearview mirror, "Hmm. Perfect!" she said with satisfaction. "Ready to go?" She fluffed her hair one last time.

"Hold on a sec…" Georgie muttered, grabbing her hand. Then he kissed her—fiercely.

When he pulled away and saw the mess he'd made, he grinned. "Alright. Now we can go," he said, stepping out of her car with a smug smile.

Veronica clenched her jaw and checked the mirror again. "You ruined my lipstick!" she grumbled, wiping away the smudge. Fortunately, it was a light shade, so the damage wasn't too bad.

They walked toward the house. "Alright, just play it cool…" Georgie said as he opened the front door.

"Were you guys hooking up just now?" a small girl voice asked.

They both froze. Standing there with an all-knowing smile was Missy.

"How did you— I mean, how does a kid like you even know what hooking up means?!" Georgie exclaimed, glaring at his little sister.

Veronica smiled awkwardly. "Y-Yeah, Missy? Is it from TV? Should I tell Mary to cut back your screen time?" she asked, trying to sound stern.

"Yeah! I bet Sheldon's loving the extra TV hours!" Georgie added with a pointed look and a little scared.

"You totally hooked up!" Missy said without backing down, eyes shining with mischief. "And you're not gonna tell Mom—because you love me more than you love Sheldon." She beamed at Georgie.

Georgie stared at her, speechless. "…Yeah, I do…" he mumbled under his breath, but both Missy and Veronica heard him loud and clear. Missy only looked prouder.

"Mom! Veronica's here!" Missy shouted toward the kitchen. "Relax, I'm not gonna snitch. What am I, eight?" she added, strutting off to watch more TV.

Mary walked in with a warm smile. "Oh, Veronica! You two are here to study, right? How about a snack?" She gently took Veronica's hand and led her toward the kitchen. "I don't know what you like, but we can make something together!"

Veronica glanced back at Georgie with a silent plea for help.

Georgie offered a sheepish grin, "Mom, we're just gonna study in the living room. Could you maybe just bring us some juice? We're having dinner soon anyway, right?" He gently pulled Veronica back.

Mary paused, then nodded. "You're right. I'll start dinner first. I'll bring the juice out in a bit." She walked off.

"Oh, what am I gonna do?" Missy's voice rang from the living room. "My favorite show's on the same time as Doctor What's-His-Name—Sheldon's favorite show." She threw a glance at Georgie.

Georgie's eye twitched as he looked at the TV. Lifestyle of the Rich and Famous was playing.

"Why are you watching that? We're poor."

"Not for long, brother…Not for long…" Missy said, squinting at him.

Georgie's eyes widened as he realized what she was up to, "Oh… You're blackmailing me, aren't you?" He sat beside her.

"Yes, I am." Missy replied fearlessly. "MO—"

Georgie quickly covered her mouth. "Alright! Alright!" he said, glancing nervously at Veronica, who mouthed 'Just give her what she wants!'.

He sighed and removed his hand. Missy grinned like a wicked little witch.

"Fine… I'll talk to Sheldon later. You can watch your show for… two days."

"Two months!" Missy countered.

"Three days," Georgie shot back. "Look, you know Sheldon won't skip Professor Proton. Even if you tell Mom, she'll just ban you from watching your show." He pointed at the screen. "That show's clearly for adults. And since you also know about 'hooking up,' oh man—Mom is gonna flip." He shook his head dramatically.

Missy grit her teeth, "One week!. Final offer. Or I'm telling Mom and Dad everything." She crossed her arms and gave Veronica a smug little smirk.

"Deal." Georgie stuck out his hand and shook hers. "How dare you blackmail your older brother?!"

He pulled her close, kissed her cheek, and started tickling her until she shrieked with laughter.

"STOP! BROTHER! MOM! VERONICA—STOP HIM!" she yelled, fleeing from his grasp.

Mary looked over and chuckled warmly. Veronica joined in the fun, watching the siblings play.

"Georgie, leave your sister alone." Mary said gently, shaking her head.

"Alright," Georgie said, pointing at Missy as he backed away. "But this isn't over…"

Missy stuck her tongue out at him, unfazed.

Still pointing, Georgie slowly backed away with Veronica without taking his eyes to Missy, "Be careful, kiddo… Be very careful…" he said dramatically before turning away.

"So… what are we studying tonight?" Georgie asked, flashing a grin, flipping his ekspresion after threatening Missy.

Veronica laughed. "Oh God… You really do love them both, don't you?"

"Of course I do," Georgie said. But then he glanced back at Missy, narrowing his eyes.

He pointed at his own eyes, then pointed at her—I'm watching you.

Missy responded with a smug look and glanced over at Mary, as if to say, 'I've got backup'.

Georgie snorted and turned back to Veronica. "So? Math? Which part?"

"You psychopath," Veronica giggled after seeing Georgie who can change his ekpression so fast like that and pulled out her books.

They studied together for a while—until Missy interrupted with her own homework and suddenly said something Georgie never expected.

"You're smart, you know," Missy said to Georgie carefully, "Sheldon's just being stupid. He doesn't know what he's talking about."

"Oh ho? Taking your twin's side now?" Veronica teased, giggling.

Georgie smiled and looked fondly at her. "Of course, princess. I know." Then he turned his attention back to his books.

Missy shrugged, and Veronica sighed as they all got back to studying—until each of them demanded Georgie help with their assignments.

That was when George Sr. came home and paused in the doorway, staring at them all—especially at Georgie—with a weird look on his face and then looking at Mary before they go to their own room.

3rd Person POV – While George and Mary are in their bedroom

"What are you doing?" Sheldon asked as he approached Georgie's study group.

"Studying," Missy replied, glancing up at him. "Done playing with your toy train?"

"Yes," Sheldon said simply, then turned to fetch one of his books. Missy watched him go before turning her gaze back to Georgie. "Do you know what Mom and Dad are talking about in there?"

Georgie looked at Veronica, then back at Missy. "I don't know. Maybe Mom's pregnant?"

*SMACK!

"OUCH!" Georgie yelped, rubbing his arm. Veronica had just smacked him hardly and looking at him with a sharp glare.

"Am I gonna be a big sister?!" Missy asked, eyes wide with excitement.

"No, Missy. I'm sure they're not talking about that!" Veronica said. "Don't listen to your dumb brother."

She added with a deathly glare in Georgie's direction again.

Sheldon returned with a book, but not one of his high school textbooks—no, this one was a massive science tome.

"What are you doing?" Missy asked, eyeing him strangely.

"Studying?" Sheldon replied, mimicking her puzzled tone.

"I can see that. But this is a math group. You nerds don't belong here." Missy said, holding up her workbook.

Sheldon glanced at it and frowned at the scribbles inside. "That's an easy question. You see—"

"I don't want 'you' to teach me," Missy cut him off. "It's not learning when 'you' the one who teach. You just give me a headache."

Sheldon opened his mouth, hoping Georgie would back him up too, "I'm a genius with an IQ of 187. I can do anything I put my mind to!" Sheldon said and looking at Missy again.

"Sorry, buddy," Georgie said, shrugging. "Not everyone's perfect at everything."

{I have an IQ of 187, which qualifies as genius—an extremely rare classification. I assumed teaching simple math to someone like my sister would be a walk in the park. But hearing what my brother just said… it stung.} – Adult Sheldon

"I can do it," Sheldon muttered, approaching Missy. "See? This is a simple question—"

Just a minute passed.

"How do you not know this?! It's so simple!" Sheldon shouted, glaring at her.

"Like I said—YOU'RE JUST GIVING ME A HEADACHE!" Missy snapped. Usually, she'd just hand her homework over and let Sheldon do it, but this time, his attempt to teach her had only made things worse.

"See? You're not meant to be a teacher." Georgie said, sipping his juice.

"WHAT?!" Mary's voice rang from down the bedroom to the living room.

Missy looked at Georgie and Veronica with a devilish grin. "Ooh, somebody's in trouble!"

"What trouble?" Sheldon blinked, completely out of the loop.

"Well, if Mom finds out what happened earlier, that means you're not getting TV time like we agreed upon!" Georgie teased.

"What?! No! I didn't tell Mom anything!" Missy shouted, pointing her pencil at Georgie. "Which means—you still have to keep your promise!"

Veronica giggled. "She's right, Georgie. The deal was that Missy wouldn't tell Mary or anyone else what happened earlier."

"Hey! Whose side are you on?!" Georgie asked, but both girls just giggled and teased him.

Georgie sighed and turned to Sheldon. "Sorry, Shelly. No Professor Proton for a whole week."

Sheldon's eyes widened. "But why?!" he didn't understand anything they talking about.

"I can't tell you. It's for the greater good…" Georgie said dramatically, staring out the window as if pondering the meaning of life.

"No. We agreed on this. And Mom already said I can watch Professor Proton as scheduled." Sheldon argued, glaring at Georgie.

"I knew you'd say that," Georgie said, patting Missy's head. "You tried teaching Missy, right? What do you think?"

"She's beyond help." Sheldon declared cruelly, making Missy scowl.

As they were about to bicker, Georgie stepped in.

"Then you don't believe Missy could even get a B, right?"

"Correct," Sheldon nodded. "Forget a C. I don't even believe she can get a D-minus."

"What if I teach her? And she gets a B—or even an A?" Georgie challenged, locking eyes with him.

Sheldon squinted at him, then glanced at Missy's smug face. "You're not gonna cheat, are you?"

This was the second time Sheldon had accused a family member of cheating.

Missy looked furious, ready to explode—but Georgie beat her to it.

BAM!

Georgie slammed his palm against the table, making everyone jump a little bit. "This is the second time you've accused someone, young man. You're not just insulting me for being a liar and a cheater, but your sister too!? What the hell are you thinking? Is this what I've been teaching you?!"

He stared Sheldon down, his voice loud and eyes blazing. "I'm very disappointed in you, Sheldon."

Sheldon lowered his head, trembling.

"It's not fair…" he whispered, voice cracking.

"…I'm sorry…" he said again, tears hitting the floor.

Georgie sighed and approached him. "I'm sorry for yelling," he said softly and wrapped his arms around Sheldon.

To everyone's surprise, Sheldon didn't pull away. He leaned into the hug, burying his face into Georgie's chest.

"…I'm sorry, Big Brother,.." Sheldon whispered, hugging Georgie tightly and sobbing.

{I'm not proud of that moment—or of myself. But when my big brother got mad at me, it felt like the whole world had turned its back on me.} – Adult Sheldon.

After hearing a loud *Bam, George and Mary stood silently in the hallway, watching.

"Well… looks like we won't need to pay for a psychiatrist, huh?" George whispered to Mary.

"No….. We do need to take Georgie to one." Mary said flatly, eyeing Georgie with a look that said she was dead serious.
