Chapter 340 - Chapter 340: Plastic Sisterhood and the Library Girlfriend

Feeling an unprecedented, powerful impulse welling up inside her, Tsukishiro Sayo clutched her racing heart with one hand and her overheated, slightly dizzy head with the other, breathing rapidly and looking around in alarm.

Her gaze finally fell on Hachiman, who had his back to her, surrounded by Setsuna Ogiso, Furuhashi Fumino, and Tsukimi Chifuyu.

Whoosh!

Clatter!

Tsukishiro Sayo's figure vanished from where she stood, the light novel she had been holding falling to the floor.

"W–where… where did she go?"

Seeing Tsukishiro Sayo suddenly freeze, her expression shifting strangely before her eyes flared crimson and locked on their direction, then vanishing in an instant, Tsukimi Chifuyu instinctively turned her head to look behind her, hand brushing her own neck. Feeling nothing unusual, she looked toward, "Setsuna? Fumino?"

"She's not with me either. Weird…"

Setsuna Ogiso didn't even tease Chifuyu for her panicked reaction. She too felt uneasy after watching Tsukishiro Sayo's form vanish before her eyes.

But when she turned around and found no trace of Sayo behind her, she glanced around the large library hall, there wasn't a soul nearby.

The only other person was the librarian lady in the distance, apparently dozing off at her desk.

In this vast library reading room, besides the vanished vampire Tsukishiro Sayo and the sleeping librarian, only the four of them remained.

"She… she's over here…", Just as the two were growing puzzled, Furuhashi Fumino's voice came out slow and strained.

Setsuna Ogiso and Tsukimi Chifuyu turned to look at Fumino's stiff face, about to ask where she saw Sayo, but then followed Fumino's downward gaze.

Between Fumino and Hachiman, there was a flash of bright silver.

"Wh–why is she here?"

Hearing Setsuna and Chifuyu's cry of shock, Fumino also wanted to demand what on earth that vampire was thinking.

All three girls were already pressed awkwardly against Hachiman because of Raphiel's interference, each suffering her own degree of shame.

But unlike Setsuna and Chifuyu, who had obvious weaknesses, Fumino wasn't completely glued against him. And Hachiman didn't have a third hand to deal with her.

There was still some space between them. Even though her chest was pressed close, she could still move her legs back a little.

Now, as she leaned forward sitting on Hachiman's lap, with Setsuna and Chifuyu pinning his arms, she didn't have to worry about any "accidents" from this young man in the prime of his youth.

But now, things were completely different.

Someone, a vampire, had taken advantage of that small gap and slipped right in between her and Hachiman…

"V–vampires… is this how vampires suck blood?"

Looking down at Tsukishiro Sayo, her face flushed, her eyes hungry, her mouth locked onto Hachiman with no sign of letting go, nothing like the elegant young lady from moments ago, Setsuna could no longer maintain her usual calm.

When Raphiel pushed her down earlier, she had stayed composed, planning to ask him later for an explanation.

Even when Hachiman accidentally grabbed her, pressing her untouched, pure body against his, she tolerated it, since Hachiman had been a victim himself.

For Fumino's sake, they had trudged all the way from the schoolyard to the library, enduring all sorts of bumps and awkward contact along the way.

'But this-this vampire, what the hell is she doing?'

"What… what are you saying… I–I didn't mean to… my instincts… I couldn't control," Tsukishiro Sayo herself was suffering. Just moments ago she had sworn she would never attack humans, never drink human blood. Yet the very next second, she had done just that.

And not just any human, the boyfriend being hugged by several other girls at that moment.

Even among vampires, where it was considered acceptable to share a lover's blood among sisters, it was still unforgivable to drink from another's partner without permission.

And she had done it, in front of them all.

Sayo wanted to apologize, wanted to let go, but her body was completely overpowered by the bloodlust surging within her. All she could do was mumble disjointed words of apology while continuing her sinful act, promising to beg forgiveness later.

It felt like she was a traveler lost in the desert, her body parched and dying of thirst, suddenly spotting a lush oasis brimming with life. Her body moved on its own, unable to resist the overwhelming desire for that life-giving water.

She didn't just sip, she drank deeply, desperately, swallowing that living source of energy with abandon.

'This scent… this taste...'

When the first drops of fragrant, intoxicating blood entered her mouth, pulsing with tremendous life force, Sayo's eyes widened in shock.

She was sorry, she truly was. She would apologize to this boy later, beg the others for forgiveness, do anything they wanted.

'But for now… please, just let me have this moment.'

"Hikigaya-kun? A-are you okay?", Fumino couldn't bring herself to look down at the vampire girl clinging to Hachiman. Stiffly, she raised her head to look up at him, swallowing hard, terrified for his health.

At this close range, she could see clearly, his face was still calm, unchanged. He only squinted slightly now and then.

She began to doubt her earlier assumption about his mental fortitude.

'Could it be… he's actually just face-paralyzed?'

'Because seriously, who could stay this calm right now?'

"Don't worry. I'm fine," Hachiman really wanted to say this was nothing.

'Tsukishiro Sayo? Just a rookie virgin vampire who'd never seen the world.'

Since Fumino was blocking his view from the front, he couldn't actually see what was happening below.

Even if he peeked impolitely through the gap in Fumino's shirt, all he could see was a faint shimmer of silver moving slightly.

Of course, he didn't need to look to know exactly what Sayo was doing. His instincts told him enough, and he even found himself critiquing her technique.

Just being this close had already triggered her reaction. To lose control so fast meant Sayo's bloodline was pure, high-class even among vampires.

It wasn't fair to blame her lack of restraint, or to say vampires were weak.

After all, thanks to his "training," Hachiman's life force had become unbelievably potent, so potent that even elven princesses and dragon clan leaders drooled at the sight of him.

And with his natural charm toward demonic females, it was no surprise Sayo couldn't resist.

Come to think of it, being bitten by a vampire like this, it was actually his first time. Quite an experience, really.

"Are you sure you're fine? It looks like Miss Sayo… she's already had enough… maybe you should stop her before you collapse?"

Setsuna wanted to scold Sayo for her reckless behavior, to make her reflect on this absurd situation, but the victim here wasn't her, it was Hachiman.

As an observer, she forced herself to stay calm, though her mind was a tangle of shock, disbelief, embarrassment, and frustration. She had to persuade Sayo to stop before she really hurt him.

She couldn't quite recall the details from health class, but… judging from the way Sayo was drinking, the sound, the splashes staining their gym clothes and seeping faintly onto their thighs…

Whether she remembered or not didn't matter, this much blood had to be enough to make someone faint, if not go into shock.

At this rate, someone really might die.

"Relax. If things get dangerous, even if you scream, I'll grab all of you and run. Even Raphiel had to retreat from me, you think I'd lose to a vampire? This was just a setup."

Hachiman looked at the three girls still worrying over him, Setsuna, Fumino, and Chifuyu, who was too shocked to do anything but swallow nervously, and couldn't help but sigh at the contrast between them.

Of course, it wasn't fair to compare. Their personalities were all different.

In another world, someone like Karuizawa Kei was so bold it shocked even Ichinose Ayano. It was just experience, nothing more.

Hearing Hachiman's teasing reassurance, Setsuna and Chifuyu both blushed. They glanced at each other, realizing they shared the same awkward embarrassment.

They had been stuck in this ridiculous position since the schoolyard, bumping along hundreds of meters to reach the library. There was no way Hachiman hadn't already felt their softness many, many times.

Only Fumino's face showed embarrassment mixed with something else, maybe guilt.

Maybe… possibly… she'd been taken advantage of a little too?

She wasn't even sure if that made her feel better or worse.

Each girl had her own emotions, but none could do anything. They could only watch helplessly as Hachiman endured, waiting for the blissful vampire to finally stop.

After all, forcing her off might make her lose control, and she could seriously hurt him.

Time passed. The class bell rang, once, then again.

At last, satisfied and full, Tsukishiro Sayo licked her lips. She looked up, ready to savor the lingering flavor, but seeing the three girls staring at her, she quickly lowered her head and began apologizing frantically.

"I'm sorry! This was my first time drinking human blood! I've always used blood packs before, I didn't expect his blood to taste this good! I couldn't control myself!"

"I know what I did was unforgivable, but I'm truly, truly sorry!"

"I'll do anything if you'll forgive me!"

"...", Tsukimi Chifuyu.

"...", Furuhashi Fumino.

"...", Setsuna Ogiso.

'First time, huh?'

If they hadn't just seen her lose her mind like that, face buried, devouring without restraint, they might've believed her elegant, refined image.

But come on, what kind of "first time" looks like that?

"Um… Sayo-san, before apologizing, could you, you know, come out first?"

Hachiman looked down at Fumino's flushed, fair face framed by her blue hair and gently reminded Sayo that enough was enough. If she was full, she should probably get out now.

Not that he minded continuing, compared to elves, mermaids, or dragons, vampires definitely had a special talent for this sort of thing. Even if it was her first time, she was doing great.

And with his current overwhelming vitality and recovery rate, even if she drained herself dry, he'd be fine. Only mass-aid missions kept him exhausted nowadays.

But still, this wasn't just the two of them. With Setsuna, Fumino, and Chifuyu here, each inexperienced and already overwhelmed, it was best to end this awkward mess soon.

"Oh! I'm so sorry! I'll clean up first and then leave!"

At Hachiman's words, Sayo hurriedly apologized.

The man himself had spoken, so no matter how reluctant she was, she had to finish tidying up and withdraw.

Even though the scent was still so tempting, even though she'd eaten her fill, she wanted to stay a little longer, breathing in that lingering aroma, waiting for the next time…

But alas, he wasn't her lover. She couldn't keep sitting there.

What should she do… She didn't think she'd ever be able to go back to those awful blood packs again.

After all, it was her first time meeting such a delicious human. Even the girls beside him looked tasty. But strangely, she didn't feel the same uncontrollable hunger toward them.

"Wait! I have a handkerchief, Sayo-san, use this to wipe!"

Seeing Sayo's "cleaning" method, Setsuna's expression tightened. She quickly pulled a soft pink handkerchief from her pocket and handed it over, afraid the vampire might slip into another frenzy.

Even though their invisibility magic was still active and no one could see them, she genuinely worried Hachiman might end up drained to death.

"Ah… thank you… I'll wash it and return it later."

Sayo froze, looking at the pale pink cotton handkerchief, then at Hachiman, who, far from looking weak, seemed even more vibrant after being bitten. She pursed her lips tightly, fighting the urge as drool threatened to spill again.

"Wash it and return it later… actually, forget it. Fumino, you wipe."

Seeing Sayo still staring hungrily at Hachiman, Setsuna's mouth twitched slightly. She turned and handed the handkerchief to Fumino, who sat on Hachiman's lap between them.

"Eh? Me? I have to wipe?"

Fumino's head shot up, eyes wide at Setsuna's outstretched hand.

Did Setsuna even realize what she was asking?

She didn't want the vampire to do it, but now she had to?

"Here. Chifuyu and I can't really move right now. Sorry, Fumino."

Without waiting for an answer, Setsuna shoved the pink handkerchief into Fumino's hand and turned away.

Technically, she and Chifuyu could move their hands, but pressed against Hachiman's arms like this, they didn't dare.

Even reaching forward to pass the cloth, she'd felt her chest stretch, and put pressure on his arm.

Of course, the real reason was that she simply didn't want to be the one to wipe him. With just a thin layer of fabric… it would feel way too real.

She'd already offered the handkerchief. What, did they expect her to offer herself next?

Besides, Hachiman was Fumino's responsibility anyway. It was her turn now.
