Third Person POV
On the border between Cintra and Sodden.
...
...
It was mid-afternoon, when the sun illuminated the forest. The birds sang softly and the environment seemed quite peaceful. Animals ran with no signs of monsters nearby, only the common fauna seemed to be present, the huge lake reflected the sunlight with some fish jumping out of the water at times... The place seemed serene… But its peace was disturbed when a shadow appeared over the waters, falling toward one corner of that scenery.
Ignavros, the summoned dragon, had finally arrived, landing as his weight crushed the grass beneath him. Madara and Ciri descended from his back the next moment with Eira. With just a nod from Madara to Ignavros, the dragon simply burst into smoke and vanished.
"I can't say how practical that is..." Ciri muttered to the spot where the green dragon had just disappeared.
"What are you thinking?" Madara asked, looking at his wife.
"Nothing… I just found it funny. I never imagined in my life that I'd be flying on a dragon from one place to another like this." She laughed, and Madara nodded while observing the view before them. Ciri approached his side and also admired the vast scenery.
The place was exactly as King Thorne of Sodden had described, not difficult to find. After all, they were on the border between Sodden and Cintra.
This was the place that Thorne had given him as a wedding gift. The entire lake before them was part of the land. It was a place exactly as the king had described to Madara.
"Looks like we found a place as beautiful as Toussaint." Ciri laughed. Madara said nothing — it might not be Toussaint, but it certainly had its own beauty.
"We'll spend the night here. What kind of structure do you want?" he asked, stepping forward while Eira began running through the tall grass, whinnying excitedly and flattening the vegetation with her body and jumps. The grass was really tall, since no one lived there.
"Can you make those Japanese castles? I love that architecture, it's very different from what we're used to." Ciri requested, and Madara nodded.
He leaped from the tall grass to the lake with a single jump. He walked toward the center of the lake, calmly stepping over the water as he analyzed the best place to build.
He saw the best area in the northernmost part. He quickly began forming several hand seals before crossing them in the final one with a mokuton jutsu. The ground shook and wood, along with roots, began sprouting rapidly, constructing a huge structure. In less than a minute, the Japanese castle — with a large deck over the water — was standing. Ciri soon appeared at the castle entrance the next moment, glowing with Eira as she used teleportation.
"Let's see what you made this time!" Ciri said excitedly, running inside as the foal followed her. She loved exploring the castles he created with Mokuton.
The next hours passed peacefully. They settled in the place and enjoyed the lake; Madara took his scrolls and began studying some of the new jutsus he was trying to develop, while Ciri, a few meters away from him, tried — unsuccessfully — to fish something in the lake, swinging her legs on the deck and Eira was sitting beside her.
"Where are these fish..." she muttered, irritated. It had been more than 20 minutes she was sitting there and no fish bit.
Madara couldn't help but lift his gaze as he lowered the scroll, activating the Sharingan and seeing countless fish inside the lake. The problem was clearly not the lack of fish.
Madara looked at her and huffed. "Could you stop moving your legs? That's scaring most of the fish." He said, knowing Ciri had no patience at all when she got irritated or nervous.
"That has nothing to do with it!" she said, swinging her legs even more, refusing to admit it.
Madara didn't answer and continued reading his scrolls, knowing arguing would lead nowhere.
She noticed that, pouted, and spoke again: "You said I have the Elder Blood... and I can even see 1 second into the future, but it's not even useful for fishing! Where is the part where my blood adapts to circumstances and finds the best path for it?" She said, clearly wanting to talk.
"Fishing isn't a fight to the death..." Madara said. "Your instinct is more for survival than for trivial tasks. You're not starving for your blood to simply make you a natural-born fisher."
She didn't respond, but kept swinging her leg.
Madara sighed and put the scroll away. After rolling it up, he went to her and sat down beside her.
"You also don't stop moving the rod." he said.
"I'm not!" she insisted. Madara didn't argue — he just placed his hand over both her legs.
"First, stop swinging this." He held her knee lightly, making her stop.
"Second..." He moved her arm and, when she tried to move less, Madara placed both his hands over hers, making her stop moving the rod entirely.
Ciri looked at that and couldn't help blushing a little, a small smile appearing. But she obeyed, staying quiet. It took about 30 seconds… then the float began to sway, sinking slightly.
Until something finally hooked the bait, pulling the float down. "A fish! It bit!" she shouted excitedly, starting to pull quickly, revealing a small trout about 20 cm long.
Ciri simply raised her hands high, shouting in happiness — it might have been her first fish ever.
Madara moved his arm and grabbed the rod before it fell into the water from her joyful foolishness. "The rod, Ciri! You have to hold it until you pull the fish..." he said with a slightly teasing tone.
Ciri fell silent immediately.
"I think you're right..." she murmured, realizing the mistake.
Madara held the rod while the fish struggled, flailing from side to side, unable to escape the hook stuck in its mouth.
"You caught your first fish. You had always been terrible at this... Congratulations." Madara said, and Ciri gave a small satisfied smile.
Madara continued helping Ciri with the fishing, and soon she truly became good at it. She filled a small bucket, and then both returned to the castle.
"Today we're eating fish!" Ciri announced, bringing her prize, which she continued catching until the late afternoon.
"Do you know how to cook fish?" Madara asked, and she made a face.
"I… don't know how to." she admitted, while Madara laughed.
"Come on, I'll teach you." he said, making Ciri nod excitedly. Eira was the only one who didn't like it, she didn't enjoy eating fish, but the place was full of grass and Madara could give her a good amount of fruit.
Night fell, and the torches of the castle were lit by Madara's clones, leaving the place well illuminated. This certainly caught the attention of anyone in the forest. While the couple was inside cooking and eating, a group of people walking through the forest spotted the light shining above the trees — much higher than any common bonfire.
They were bandits.
But before they could approach, a shadow stared at them calmly from atop the trees. One of Madara's clones, left there to protect the area, attacked as soon as they advanced — and massacred them before they got close to the castle. Not only that: the shadow investigated and found their camp, eliminating everyone without the original even needing to know what was happening.
This was the direct order from the original Madara: to wipe out any group of bandits in the region.
Madara and Ciri spent the night in the castle, enjoying an intimate moment with each other. They had had sex more than three times that afternoon throughout Toussaint — any good spot in the duchy they found, they were clinging to each other and removing their clothes. And that didn't stop them from having more sex finally in a bed before sleeping.
"Can you feel him?" Ciri asked, while they were outside, on the balcony of the highest floors of the castle, with thousands of stars in the sky before them, sitting on wooden chairs enjoying the clear sky as they talked, after their sex session and a bath in the lake.
She took Madara's hand and placed it over her belly, enjoying the touch of her husband, where their child was developing.
"Yes… I can feel him. I can feel him pulsing." Madara said. He could even see the fetus through the Sharingan: their child was growing in her womb, and Ciri was maintaining full control of the chakra, eliminating any energy coming from the child into her own body, preventing problems for both.
"Do we already know what name we're going to give him?" she asked, curious.
"I haven't decided yet..." Madara murmured. He could choose a ninja name, but he remembered he was no longer in the ninja world. The child would be born in that world, and even though he had his own style, his children should adapt better to this world.
After all, if one day they wished to rule, they would be more accepted by the people and by other royalties.
Madara had no fear that his children would be weak, especially one who would inherit the Uchiha lineage and the Elder Blood from the mother — the name mattered little. But still, it would be good to avoid future problems, and it would be good for him to have some familiarity with this world.
"How about Sebastian?" Ciri asked, already knowing it was a boy.
"It's not a bad name..." he replied.
"...But we can decide that until he's born." Ciri nodded calmly.
"All right, husband. Now let's sleep a little. I'm sleepy..." she said, stretching.
Madara nodded, and they slept peacefully that night, with Eira joining them later, lying at the couple's feet on the bed.
Anyway, the next morning, after a small meal for breakfast, the wood of the castle began to break apart. Madara would not keep the castle there, because he knew it could be occupied by anyone who found it — especially bandits — and that land was theirs. He could even create a barrier, but that would also draw attention from other annoying people.
"You know... I loved this place..." Ciri began. "It's only ours, isolated from everything, a corner just for us... We should name this place, right?" she murmured with her eyes looking at the lake.
Thus, he returned to Ciri, who had already packed her things.
"This place is calm... How about Mizunagi?" Madara said.
"What does it mean?" Ciri asked, curious.
"Water without waves..." Madara said.
"Mizunagi... I liked it..." Ciri smiled.
"Now, let's go." he said, and she nodded, preparing to use her powers.
In the next moment, she touched his hand, and Eira appeared before glowing and disappearing with them.
The ship was already close to the coast of the continent at that moment — it might arrive in two days — when, in the cabin where Madara and Ciri stayed, a glow appeared. After several days adventuring through the continent, Madara and Ciri returned to the ship, where Madara's clones were training senjutsu.
Yennefer was on the deck at that moment, restless. She was impatient because the only thing she had were Madara's clones — who didn't answer any of her questions — she was worried about Ciri and Madara wandering around.
Certainly, the shock was a normal reaction when she saw the entrance open with a Madara and Ciri emerging from it. They were ignoring the sailors' looks, who knew the two had disappeared. After days without showing up, everyone on the ship was already talking about it.
"Where were you?!" Yennefer exclaimed immediately, approaching them.
Ciri gave an apologetic smile.
"In several places, to be honest... We went to Kovir, to the land of dragons, to Cintra, to Toussaint... and also to that place King Thorne had offered us. We also visited random places in Redania and Temeria..."
Ciri said, spreading her arms, while Yennefer stared at her in irritation.
"Do you two have any idea how worried you made us?" she muttered, arms crossed.
Ciri only smiled. Madara didn't answer anything.
"We're fine! No need to worry so much... Anyway, we're back, right, mother?" Ciri murmured, though that didn't seem to calm Yennefer, despite her liking to hear Ciri call her that.
"I'll let you talk." Madara said. "I'm sure Ciri has good stories to tell. I'll go back to the cabin — I need to see the progress of the Sage Mode my clones were training." he said, turning to leave.
Ciri then began to tell everything, including how Nilfgaard had sent soldiers to capture them. Yennefer immediately grabbed Ciri by the shoulders and began shaking her, shouting.
"what the hell were you two thinking?! going straight to the enemy and even warning them?!"
Ciri only protested that she had killed all of them, stubbornly.
Madara headed inside the ship, interested in seeing the progress of his clones.
