Eileen slowly lowered her hand that had been covering her mouth. Her eyes were wide, and she was bewildered, not knowing what was going on. Squeak. The sound of a chair being pushed back was heard. Then, slow footsteps followed. The customer who had gotten up from their seat approached the table where Eileen was hiding. The footsteps stopped right in front of the table. Under the tablecloth, she could see a pair of sleek, handmade shoes. They were obviously expensive, high-quality shoes. The pointed toes were aimed directly at Eileen.
And between the two shoes, Eileen found her own glasses. She had put them in her pocket while she was running away in a panic, and they must have fallen off when she hid under the table.
"...Oh." Eileen spoke a little too late. She was about to thank him for hiding her, but the customer immediately turned and left. He left the box seat, and Eileen was left alone.
