Chapter 405 - Vulnerable In Front of Xin

"Get lost!"

A soft but firm voice rang out as a large, smooth white tail-about four or five meters long- suddenly whipped out and smacked Hanzo's sickle away.

The weapon was deflected before it even got close to Xin.

Tsunade froze in shock, her eyes darting from the flying sickle to the small white snake perched on Xin's shoulder.

Just how many secrets is this kid hiding?

Hanzo caught his sickle, stunned as he stared at the snake.

Is that... a summoning animal?

Since when could a summoning beast deflect his sickle?

Even the legendary beasts of Orochimaru and Jiraiya couldn't do that.

"You fool," Ophis, the small white Snake, sneered. "If Xin wanted to, he could wipe out your entire village right now. Demigod? What a joke. You're barely half a man, let alone half a god."

Ophis's cold glare sent shivers down Hanzo's spine. He felt like a predator had locked onto him, ready to strike at any moment.

"BOOM!!!"

The second explosion rocked the village as buildings crumbled, sending clouds of dust and debris into the sky. Hanzo's face was as dark as the storm clouds.

"So, Hanzo," Xin smirked, "are we qualified to negotiate with you now?"

"Let's see if I can flatten your Rain Village today."

Other people might be scared of Hanzō, but Xin wasn't. Poison? Sure, it could be dangerous, but only if it could reach you. And Hanzō wouldn't even be able to get close, so what good was his poison? Was he going to poison his own people?

If Hanzō couldn't touch Xin, nothing else he had would work. He'd just stand there and watch Xin blow the whole village to bits.

The only downside to Thunderblast was that it used a lot of chakra each time. But Xin? He had chakra for days. He figured that in a few years, he could even go head-to-head with Hashirama Senju if he wanted to.

And let's not forget, Ophis was still coiling on his shoulder.

It wasn't even an exaggeration to say Xin could spend all day blowing up the Rain Village until it was flat. No joke.

Hanzō's poison was supposed to be his most terrifying weapon, but it was useless if it couldn't touch Xin. As for his fancy taijutsu and his speed? Those didn't matter either if he couldn't get close. His instant movement might be fast, but if he couldn't reach Xin, it was pointless.

And if he tried, Ophis would probably smack him across the battlefield, just like when they dealt with Manda.

And other ninjutsu? Well, let's just say Xin didn't want to hurt Hanzō's feelings by bringing that up.

And, on top of that, Xin hadn't even used his Mangekyō Sharingan yet. If it came down to it, Xin could squash Hanzo without breaking a sweat.

But he preferred not to use his Mangekyō if he didn't have to. He'd rather keep it under wraps until his eyes evolved into the Eternal Mangekyō.

After all, the downside of using the Mangekyō was the risk of going blind, and he didn't really want to deal with that.
