Everyone felt a warm sensation cloud over their entire bodies. Somehow, this warmth was easing the pain of the burns that the radiation had been inflicted within them.
Somehow, Michael was making it as if the radiation wasn't dangerous. Wasn't fatal.
The effects were immediate. The vomiting, the intense blood-riddled coughing, and the burn-like scars on their bodies had stopped worsening, as if a switch had turned them off just like that.
Hopper knew something had changed. He looked at his own body, no longer feeling that weight that dragged down his heart to the deepest depths. He was no longer being pricked by that feeling of the curse slowly growing, festering inside his body until it inevitably took his life.
Intuitively, he knew. He had been saved.
And it wasn't like the other cure that the other people had given them. The Upper Echelon company that had been promising them salvation couldn't replicate the relief that Michael's power now gave them.
