Extracting the information from the coded notes, Richard quickly recalled parts of the Great Disintegration Spell in his mind.
This note recorded the principles of the Great Disintegration Spell, as well as a portion of the Spell Model. From the notes of the original author, it seemed that this information was obtained inadvertently.
He was merely a transporter of knowledge.
"The principles of the Great Disintegration Spell are quite simple, but unfortunately, the most crucial part of the Spell Model is missing."
The foundational principle of the Great Disintegration Spell is the theory of the four elements.
In the worldview of Wizards, the four basic elements—earth, wind, water, and fire—compose all things in the world. The fundamental principle of the Great Disintegration Spell is to destroy the connections between these four elements in matter, reverting the Wizard back to the original pure elements.
This principle is straightforward, but its practical application is extraordinarily complex.
According to the notes, the Great Disintegration Spell even requires the participation of rules, and this part happens to be the missing component of the model.
Without this crucial core, this complex Spell Model is rendered useless.
"No, it's not entirely useless," Richard murmured to himself as he looked at the coded notes.
Although the Spell Model in the notes was missing the most important part, the remaining portion still held significant research value.
If he could understand this part of the model, his studies in rune magic would see a tremendous boost.
Moreover, perhaps he would encounter the core model of the Great Disintegration Spell in the future?
With this fantasy in mind, Richard tucked the notes into his pocket and began to refine the remaining three pieces of exquisite Magic Equipment one by one.
After completing the refinement, Richard took out a notebook and began recording his thoughts.
"High-Energy Aurora, this is the first time I've seen such a spell."
Richard looked in amazement at the Magic Equipment ring embedded with a fluorescent green gemstone.
This spell belongs to the Evocation Spell category; when released, it can unleash a stream of high-energy particles to damage enemies.
Richard tested it slightly, finding that a single High-Energy Aurora could deal approximately three hundred energy-level elemental damage.
Furthermore, due to the very small area of effect of this spell, it could not be blocked by Magic Power shields below five hundred energy levels.
However, it also had a significant drawback: its power decayed severely.
Once the firing distance exceeded three meters, its energy level would plummet to one hundred.
Yet, what attracted Richard the most was not its penetrating property, but rather the principle of the spell—namely, the constraint of high-energy particles.
On this Spell Model, Richard saw hope for constraining the blue flame he had obtained.
Aside from the High-Energy Aurora, the Rune Fist also sparked some ideas in Richard's mind.
This spell allows the user to add a layer of rune to their fist, enhancing the power of their punch when attacking.
Although this enhancement is only a mere one hundred energy levels, as a supportive spell, its Spell Model is simple, and its application range is broad, making it very suitable for deployment as ordinary Magic Equipment.
Apart from the High-Energy Aurora and Rune Fist, Richard had no particular thoughts about the remaining Spell Model for the magical armor, and could only temporarily set it aside as knowledge reserve.
After categorizing the remaining spoils, Richard glanced at his pocket watch and took out his Communication Crystal Ball.
The communication time for these elite Wizards and the Black Tower Wizard Academy was set for eleven-thirty at night, with a duration of fifteen minutes.
Moreover, this time would change every seven days to prevent detection by the Wizards of the Meteor Academy.
Upon opening the Crystal Ball, several messages from the command center immediately appeared.
Richard read through these messages one by one, his brow furrowing involuntarily.
Due to the command center's requirements, the elite Wizards stationed outside had begun to harass the Meteor Academy. However, this harassment was insufficient, and the Wizards on the front lines showed no intention of retreating.
Thus, the command center now required them to infiltrate the Meteor Academy to cause destruction, ensuring that the Wizards of the Meteor Academy would withdraw.
"Is the situation on the front line really that grim?" Richard couldn't help but complain.
In fact, Richard had overestimated the defensive measures of the Black Tower Wizard Academy and underestimated the combat disadvantage of the Black Tower Wizard Academy despite their numerical superiority.
Even with the advantage of terrain, the Black Tower Wizard Academy was barely able to hold its ground against the attacking Wizards.
Of course, this couldn't be blamed on Richard.
Since becoming a Wizard, he had hardly fought against other Wizards; the few battles he had experienced were all in the arena, fighting with his body and weapons in plain sight.
Wizard battles can be divided into two types: one that ends in an instant, indicating a significant disparity in strength, and the other being a protracted battle, indicating that the two are evenly matched.
However, if one Wizard faces two Wizards at the same time, the above situations will change.
The instant battles will still end in an instant because one is still a second, and two are also a second. But if three Wizards are of similar strength, then in a one-on-two scenario, the outnumbered side will quickly retreat.
When quality is insufficient for a swift victory, the advantage of quantity becomes apparent.
After fifteen minutes, no new orders came from the academy. Richard put the Crystal Ball back in his pocket and began to contemplate his next actions.
To be honest, infiltrating the Meteor Academy was not an easy task.
Given Richard's current abilities, it was entirely impossible to sneak in unnoticed under the scrutiny of so many patrol teams.
"It seems I need to find some help."
Richard packed up his Magic Pocket and informed the Wizard Hunting team guarding the cave entrance, "I'm going to find someone; you all stay hidden."
"Yes, sir."
...
Richard was not the only Wizard to receive the infiltration news; dozens of elite Wizards sent by the Black Tower Academy were hiding in the wilderness surrounding the Meteor Academy.
Since Richard couldn't infiltrate alone, he had to seek help from other Wizards.
After traveling through the mountains for about an hour, Richard quickly found a seemingly ordinary dead tree, its trunk covered in vines.
Richard approached the dead tree and marked it with his Magic Power. The mark lingered on the dead tree for a moment before vanishing as if swallowed by something.
Seeing the mark disappear, Richard knew he had found the right place and moved to the side to wait quietly.
Before long, a black-robed Wizard appeared in the shadow where Richard was waiting.
"Richard, what do you need from me?"
Richard stepped out of the shadows and performed a Wizard's greeting to the black-robed Wizard.
"Master Anka, I need your help."
It was no surprise that Richard could contact Anka; in fact, after their dispatched Wizards located the Meteor Academy, they had spontaneously begun to reach out to one another.
The Wizard academy they were facing was a colossal entity, and individual strength was simply too weak in comparison.
Anka raised an eyebrow. "Help? You mean the infiltration and destruction?"
Richard nodded.
"Well, you're in luck. A few old friends and I are planning to infiltrate together.
One hundred Magic Essence, and I'll take you along." Anka said casually.
Wizards adhere to the principle of equivalent exchange; although they belong to the same academy, the necessary procedures must still be followed.
Richard didn't haggle and directly took out one hundred Magic Essence to hand to Anka.
Anka accepted the Magic Essence and asked cheerfully, "Do you have your golem with you? We'll start our operation in two hours."
"Not yet; I'll go back to get it."
"Alright, hurry back. I'll be waiting here."
Richard immediately returned, moving even faster than before.
Half an hour later, Richard arrived back at the cave where he had sorted his spoils. At the cave entrance, four armored Fire Lizards appeared as soon as they saw Richard return.
The Mechanist Type I Individual Armor possesses the ability of static invisibility; when the armor is stationary, it can activate optical invisibility.
This invisibility feature, combined with a closed mode and mental shielding, can almost evade ninety-nine percent of Wizard detection.
Richard approached them and instructed, "Makar, you follow me. Helaen, Kava, Mishan, you three stay on standby outside the academy. If anything unexpected happens, I'll notify you to come for support."
The four Fire Lizards knelt on one knee and replied in unison, "Yes, sir."
Taking Makar with him, Richard returned to the dead tree, and upon his arrival, several figures "emerged" from the shadows.
These were the Wizards planning to infiltrate with Anka.
"This golem is nice; did you make any modifications?" asked a necromancer Wizard with soul fire burning in his eyes.
"I did," Richard replied briefly.
With Richard's arrival, the infiltration team was finally assembled.
In addition to Richard and Anka, the infiltration team included four second-ring Wizards.
These Wizards were all quite experienced in infiltration, mastering shadow spells, mimicry spells, and invisibility spells.
Compared to them, Richard's skills in shadow infiltration and shadow traversal seemed almost like that of an apprentice.
However, although Richard lacked infiltration abilities, he had money.
He could easily part with one hundred Magic Essence, or even five hundred or a thousand Magic Essence without batting an eye.
His age and personal strength were at the bottom among these Wizards, but his financial resources surpassed all of theirs combined.
Moreover, Richard was not entirely without use to the team.
"[Existence Fading]? You're using that as an infiltration tool?"
Several Wizards watched as Richard took out a Magic Scroll and tore it open, causing his presence to become incredibly thin. Being seasoned Wizards, they naturally recognized what spell it was.
Richard nodded, "This spell is very useful, but it requires a sense of balance."
Several Wizards nodded thoughtfully, and soon someone praised, "Great idea! Do you have any recommended curse Wizards? I want to order a batch later."
Curse Wizards are hard to find among the Wizard community; not only are they few in number, but they also tend to hide their identities as curse Wizards.
Take Ellie, for example; she publicly claims to be a Shaping Wizard and usually wears a Shaping Wizard's robe. Only on certain formal occasions does she wear a dual-class Wizard robe.
The abilities of curse Wizards are too terrifying; unless they are familiar with other Wizards, curse Wizards will not reveal their identities.
Richard nodded, "Yes, after the war, if the master still has this idea, you can contact me through Master Jolod."
Several Wizards spent some Magic Essence to buy a few Existence Fading scrolls from Richard.
Then they discussed the targets for destruction after infiltration.
Once the targets were confirmed, the team immediately began the infiltration.
Richard silently followed Anka, who was an experienced Wizard with considerable knowledge of infiltration. His invisibility spell not only enabled optical invisibility but also shielded against mental detection.
Combined with [Existence Fading], Richard's current state was such that even Great Wizards would find it difficult to detect him.
The patrol teams of the Meteor Academy passed by the infiltrating team without noticing them at all, not even the largest Makar.
Although these Wizard patrol teams had two second-ring Wizards leading them, there are still disparities in strength among second-ring Wizards.
Those second-ring Wizards dispatched by the Black Tower Wizard Academy to carry out tasks were all strong among their ranks.
Currently, the elite Wizards of the Meteor Academy were almost entirely deployed to the front lines, and while the remaining second-ring Wizards were not weak, they still fell short compared to true elites.
Under the layers of concealment provided by the five elites, the leading second-ring Wizard was not much stronger than their subordinates.
Soon, the team passed through the patrols and entered the Meteor Academy.
