Chapter 369: Yang Potian VS Deep Sea Demon Whale King
Hearing Yang Potian's words, the Deep Sea Demon Whale King let out an enraged roar: "Impossible! There can't be such a power gap between us!"
"My entire body is already ninety-nine percent divine power. I'm just one step away from godhood, so how can you, who are still mortal, possibly wield pure godly power throughout your body without ascending?"
Yang Potian laughed. "The knowledge of soul beasts is truly limited. There's a saying: 'A slight discrepancy leads to a great error.' That final step you speak of is an unbridgeable chasm."
The Deep Sea Demon Whale King's frustration was visible. He roared again, and the entire ocean began to churn violently, his massive form merging with the sea itself. This was the Demon Whale Domain, his unique mastery over the vast ocean.
In response, a blood-red light radiated from Yang Potian, illuminating the sea. This was his Asura Domain, exuding an aura of boundless slaughter, creating a stark contrast between sea and sky as if two realms were colliding. The sea and air around them cracked, and blue-black clashed fiercely against red.
Although the ocean was vast, its power was diffuse, while the Demon Whale King's immense size and dispersed godly power hampered his focus.
Without hesitation, Yang Potian launched himself like a cannonball toward the Demon Whale King, his hands forming massive golden fists that slammed down heavily on the beast. The blow sent the massive whale reeling several kilometers back, blood trickling from his mouth—clearly wounded.
Yet in the ocean, the Demon Whale King had the upper hand. He laughed madly. "Boy, you're powerful, but here in my domain, your field will always be restrained. Remember, I am the lord of the sea."
Yang Potian's Asura Domain indeed felt the ocean's weight pushing against it, the blood-red light dimming as it fought against the encroaching depths of the dark sea.
Seizing this opportunity, the Demon Whale King concentrated his soul power. His tail turned pitch black, crackling with a storm of dark energy.
Yang Potian shook his head. Initially, he hadn't intended to use the Broken Soul Spear in the water, as the sea naturally restricted its range. But with a flash of his soul power, he called forth the spear, its golden form surrounded by rings—five black, four red.
At once, he activated his fourth soul skill, Tiger Roar Breaks a Thousand Armies, causing the Broken Soul Spear to grow exponentially. As it shot forward, the water split before its razor-sharp tip, which plunged directly into the Demon Whale King's tail.
The beast let out a pained howl. "Why? Our power shouldn't be this far apart—how can you be so much stronger than me?"
Yang Potian chuckled. "It's true, your raw power isn't much less than mine. But your massive size makes you slow and scatters your power. In this state, you'll never defeat me."
The Demon Whale King, determined, began to thrash, creating a massive vortex around him. His body morphed, his flesh crystallizing into razor-sharp shards laced with powerful lightning energy.
In response, Yang Potian activated his third soul skill, Taotie Guardian, summoning a colossal Taotie bull spirit around him in golden armor, shielding him from the torrent of razor-sharp shards. Although forced back dozens of meters, he emerged unscathed.
In this instant, the Deep Sea Demon Whale King transformed into a three-meter-tall humanoid form with long, deep-blue hair, his skin a dark blue hue and clad in a deep violet armor covering his chest, shoulders, abdomen, and lower body like ancient battle gear. The armor was seamless and left no weak points; a large gem the size of a fist gleamed from the center of his breastplate.
Standing atop the vortex, the Demon Whale King now looked like an enraged war god, his compressed power vibrating like raw fury waiting to be unleashed.
Yang Potian smirked. "Now that's more like it. While your total soul power might exceed Di Tian's, I'd say your battle prowess still falls short."
The Demon Whale King scoffed. "Di Tian is nothing but a small dragon—he barely has 800,000 years, hardly a comparison. Here in the ocean, he's no match for me."
Yang Potian was intrigued. "So you've encountered Di Tian, and he tried to recruit you to unite the soul beasts? Why didn't you join him?"
The Demon Whale King's disdain was evident. "Among soul beasts, strength rules. Di Tian may have noble lineage, but in the sea, he's powerless before me."
Yang Potian replied with a cold smile. "Well, since Di Tian escaped your grasp, let's see if your strength as the 'strongest soul beast' lives up to its name."
With that, he gripped his Broken Soul Spear in both hands and thrust it forward. Though a simple strike, it carried immense power.
The Demon Whale King, fierce and fearless, countered with his fist. His punches radiated oceanic force, amplified by his violet armor, which coalesced into crystalline gauntlets crackling with dark lightning.
The spear and fist collided in a deafening impact, forcing both back several dozen meters.
Undeterred, they clashed again, both attacks sharper and more powerful with each round.
In mere minutes, they had exchanged countless blows, turning the surrounding ocean into a churning storm of destruction.
