Back in Ergos Xenia, the quartet are walking through the path as their surroundings change. They appear in a place like glass, literally.
Flint walks on the glass ground, "Is this real?"
Aku taps her foot on it, *TAP TAP*. "Uhhh, Aella. Have you heard of any dungeons with glass floors?"
Aella shakes her head, "No, this is a first."
Chuck looks to his right and sees his reflection, "Hehehe, hello handsome." His reflection speaks back, "I really am handsome." Chuck freezes, "KYAAAAGGGHHH!"
The trio turn to Chuck, "What's the matter?!" They see Chuck's reflection and it's moving on its own. The reflection smirks and walks out standing before them, the quartet are shocked.
Flint takes a step back and hits a wall, he turns to see his reflection. His reflection grins and steps out with his sword ready. "Uhhh, are we to fight ourselves?" Aku and Aella's reflections are before them grinning at them.
Chuck steps back, "Uhhh, fearless leader. What do we do?" the reflections taunts them, as if about to attack then stop.
Flint looks around, "...We'll fight back if they do." More reflections come from the ground surrounding them as they stare at the ready.
Aku is restless, "If we don't do something we might end up in grave danger!" she grips her swords as she's restless. The reflections are too close for comfort.
Flint's thoughts, "If these are the mob monster here, why aren't they attacking?" he speaks, "Aella? Do you have any idea what this is?" Aella shakes her head fervently. The reflections grin then they turn facing the center of the dungeon.
[NOTICE: Second condition has been fulfilled. All reflections will become allies of challengers.]
Aku is shocked, "What?! Allies?" the reflections get their weapons ready facing the center, their numbers now reach 100.
[OBJECTIVE: Your bravery has inspired the people. They have sworn to help you fight. Slay the Mad Queen to clear this level.]
The quartet are surprised, Flint looks up. "System, does this mean the monsters are on outside?"
[Affirmative]
Chuck looks up, "Well, what is the first condition?"
[Since Second Condition has been cleared, the info is available.
FIRST CONDITION: Attack a reflection as it taunts you. The reflection army will join the Mad Queen.
SECOND CONDITION: Do not attack a reflection as it taunts you. The reflection army will rebel and join the challengers.]
Aella's mind is blown away, "Wooaaahh. I never thought I'd see a dungeon with the monsters fighting the boss monster!"
Aku gives a wry smile, "Ye~ah, let's get this over with as soon as possible. I hate how Chuck is staring at my reflection."
Chuck turns to Aku's reflection, "What do you mean?!" He has a drool. The real Aku smacks him, Chuck is teary. "I did nothing wrong!"
Flint chuckles, "At least we have the advantage. I wonder what the boss is like?"
A crack happens in the sky as a mecha jumps out, the mecha is 7 meters with blade arms and 4legs. It has boosters on its back and a chain gun on its shoulder, it uses EP bullets which aren't fatal but can reduce HP quickly if struck for 30 seconds. The mecha is black with a fiery aura around it, it has red eyes and lines going over its body. Distance apart from each side, 100 meters.
Chuck's hair changes color (Red, yellow, blue, normal) as he freaks out, "WHAT IN THE ACTUAL HECK IS THAT!!!!!!" The mecha opens ports and fires missiles at them but they don't know it's a missile.
A Chuck reflection warns, "The Mad Queen has arrived, avoid her spears of doom!" the quartet nod and they run away with the reflections. *BOOOMBOOOMBOOOMBOOOMBOOM* the blast hits them as their EP reduces but they heal with EP.
Aku grits her teeth, "DAMN METAL!" she starts running to the boss monster. The boss opens compartments as multiple poles appears on its hands, it fires lasers at the quartet. Aku glows blue, "Tch, don't think such tricks can get me!" she starts to evade the lasers at insane speeds even the rest can't see her.
Chuck whistles, "Damn she's fast." He gets his shield up and blocks the lasers with Aella behind him.
Flint runs through the lasers with his sword as he shield deflecting it. Aku moves like lightening running she jumps and twits herself mid-air. "TAKE THIS! SWORD TECHNIQUES > MOON LIGHT SLASH!" *SLASH SLASH* Aku lands behind the boss as scratches appear around it, "Tch, only scratches." She jumps back, the boss starts to turn slowly, very slowly. "It's like a snail!"
The boss turning at Aku gives Chuck, Aella and Flint some breathing room since they're no longer targeted. They rush to the boss, Flint is 80 meters away and Chuck is 90 meters with Aella passing him. Aku is walking around the boss as it turns so slow, she yawns.
The reflections keep running ahead of Flint, "Could it be….." He looks to his right and sees more reflections. "The reflections are to be our shields? Yeah, that explains why they'll join us. With the boss's many attacks it'll be impossible to get close to it without dying from afar."
Aku is still walking around the boss as it's turning to her slowly, "Looks like this boss has a lot of power but no speed. If I wasn't fast enough to reach here it'll be a ranged battle."
The quartet arrive around the boss monster and attack it from all sides, the reflections are 20 meters around them watching. That would've been as far as they'd serve as shields. 10 meters around the boss starts to glow, compartments open above the boss facing up opens as rockets launch into the air.
Flint observes, "The land is glowing….Many fire spears…..Eh? Everyone! Get out of the red light!" the party nods and start to run away.
Chuck is too slow, "Oh come on!" *BOOOM BOOOOM BOOM BOOOOM BOOOOM* he reached the edge in time but the blast force threw him away. "AAAGGHHH!!" *THUUUD*
The trio charge at the boss attacking it while the boss focuses on Chuck since he fell right in its range.
The attack the boss so much that it starts to heat up, there's electric sparks all around the boss. Flint grins, "Time for my finishing move!" he jumps high, "ENERGY SWORD R-" *SLASH* the balls has a slash mark across it. Flint turns to Aku squinting his mouth.
Aku turns, "Don't feel bad lil bro, it's all a team effort." Flint sighs and Aella stands beside a chopped leg of the boss.
Chuck walks over carrying his shield, "Looks like this was easy. If it was a bit faster we'd been roast meat." They celebrate their victory then Aella walks closer to the defeated boss.
Aella observes it, the boss has its parts cut off and sparks flying around it yet it's not vanishing like the others. "Uhh guys, aren't monsters suppose to turn to dust and then orbs after beating them?"
The trio are silent watching the boss, Chuck whispers. "If it's not vanishing then it means-"
Aku gets ready to fight, "We didn't beat the boss."
The boss' eye glow and turns from red to white, all the lines on the boss turns from red to white. The parts start to fall apart. *THUD THUD CLANG THUD BRRR THUD*
