"Restrictions," Max murmured.
That was the only explanation that made sense. If even someone as powerful as Arvantos, one of the four Primarchs of the Primordial Race, couldn't freely explain the internal rules of this place, then the restrictions around the Godslayer's Pilgrimage ran far more terrifying than Max had first assumed.
These rules weren't something the current five universes had created. They were ancient, hidden, and strong enough to bind even the peak figures standing at the top of the Divine Realm.
This thought made Max's eyes deepen. "This place really is special."
He lowered his wrist and kept following the faint traces he'd found earlier. The pale yellow land stretched endlessly around him. Dust moved with the wind, the blue sky stayed impossibly clear, and the sun and moon kept hanging together above the world like two silent watchers.
