Sarvion watched him quietly and seemed to catch what he was thinking.
"The Godslayer's Pilgrimage isn't a place where answers come easy," Sarvion said. "If this page came from there, the complete inheritance might be hidden in some dangerous region, sealed inside an ancient ruin, held by another race, or scattered across different trials. It's also possible only this fragment survives."
Max looked at him. "But it's still a clue."
Sarvion nodded. "Yes. And for someone walking a lost path, a clue is sometimes worth more than a complete technique that doesn't even belong to them."
Max stared at the withered page for a long moment. The five Divine Veins inside his body sat quiet now, but he could still remember how they'd trembled when he first read the name Eternal Body. That reaction couldn't be false.
