On the stage, Max looked at Damian for a few silent breaths. Then he smiled.
"Good."
He slowly drew Dragonheart from its sheath, and a cold, clear hum spread across the arena.
"If a single sword attack is enough for you," Max said calmly, "then a single sword attack is enough for me as well."
Damian's eyes became even sharper. "So you agree?"
Max nodded once. "I agree."
That simple answer immediately made the entire Divine Realm hold its breath again.
Angelina Valerius looked at both of them for a moment before speaking. "The terms are accepted. This battle will be decided by a single sword clash."
Her words caused the stage beneath them to begin glowing brighter. The laws of the Eternal Hourglass strengthened the barrier around the central arena, as if even it understood that one attack from Damian Voss and one attack from Max Morgan would not be ordinary sword moves.
