Max slowly raised his gaze and looked at Karo through the storm of black-red mist and draconic pressure.
His smile returned.
But this time, it looked far more dangerous than before.
"You wanted me to reveal my path," Max said calmly, his voice carrying through the trembling arena. "But for someone like you, this is enough."
Karo's face twisted with fury.
Above him, the Abyssal Burial Spear finally finished forming, and the massive weapon released a world-burying pressure as it pointed straight toward Max.
"Die!"
Karo pushed both hands down.
The Abyssal Burial Spear descended.
At the same time, Max stepped forward.
The entire arena cracked beneath that single step.
