Lady Virelia then became slightly more serious as she continued speaking.
"Now, about the reason I called you here."
She raised two fingers as she explained.
"The first reason is to take you to our ancestral chamber. As the newly appointed Saint of the Black Dragon Clan, you now have the right to enter that place and choose any inheritance technique you wish to practice."
Max listened attentively as she spoke.
"The second reason," she continued, "concerns another matter."
Lady Virelia looked directly at Max.
"Do you remember Elder Joe who appeared during the grand trial?"
Max nodded immediately.
How could he possibly forget that person.
Elder Joe had appeared in the middle of the trial and had spoken with the seven family heads as if he were their equal. Although the family heads had tried to hide it, Max could clearly sense that they treated Elder Joe with a certain level of caution and respect.
