Arkorg struck first.
The colossal Devil Sovereign raised one hand, and the crimson energy filling the domain gathered above its palm before condensing into an enormous demonic spear.
The weapon was hundreds of meters long, with crimson flames twisting around it.
The moment Arkorg pointed at Max, the phantom hurled it.
Boom!
The enormous weapon tore across the arena, and the pressure alone split the ground open before it ever reached him.
Max didn't move aside.
The Vein of Strength surged, the Vein of Resilience followed, and then the Vein of Instinct guided his body.
Max stepped forward and punched.
His fist met the demonic spear head on.
For a moment, the contrast looked absurd. On one side was an enormous crimson weapon capable of tearing apart half the arena, and on the other was Max's bare fist.
Then the spear exploded.
Boom!
Crimson energy scattered across the battlefield.
Arkorg's expression changed, because Max was still standing exactly where he had been.
