"Those tremors...."
"They failed."
The commander completed the words of the instructor, his voice much calmer like it was an expected outcome.
"Their deaths shouldn't come as a surprise. Just hope they managed to take one of those creatures down."
His face was just as cold as his voice. It sounded like he had sent two of his most valuable fighters to their deaths just to stall for time.
"What about Origin?"
"Nothing, sir. The interference isn't something we can deal with.. at least not with this much time."
He shifted the conversation away from the death of the two instructors to something he deemed more important, but the answers he received only left him feeling disappointed.
His brows pushed against each other, and the veins on his head popped out as he looked to the one who had answered his question.
"This much time?"
"What do you mean, this much time? It's been three days since communication has been down, both here in camp and with Origin."
