Cass' skin looked like he'd been in a fight with an octopus and had lost. Not that any of them were in a better state. The time after the first few hours of the heat had been a bit of a haze.
Cass remembered wanting to eat them both whole and rubbing himself against them, licking them and biting them, but Cass quickly realised that he wasn't going to be the only one doing the biting. Gideon had stamina.
Cass had forgotten since the heat haze clouded his judgement and thought process a lot.
How was Gideon using that stamina? Well, he was trying to tire Cass out, and the man was doing incredible work.
