Edgar wasn't much of a reader, but he did enjoy spending time with the two men that he had stamped his claim on.
So he was more than happy to go along with the awkward suggestion that Gideon had made, all so that he could spend time with Cass and Edgar. Edgar walked between the two men, leaving Cass' office and heading towards the room that had been designated as the library in this mansion, knowing that both men found that place rather tame.
Edgar shook his head, smiling to himself as Gideon and Cass spoke to each other excitedly about some book that Edgar hadn't read. It didn't seem to be one of the dirty books that Cass had taken a liking to since he'd come back from his little soul adventure, but a book that the more respectable members of society would read.
It wasn't scriptures or magic, so Edgar likely hadn't read it. That didn't bother Edgar, not really. He was just happy that Cass and Gideon were getting along, and easily at that.
