Cass sat nervously in the exact same spot that he sat in when he was in the carriage with Edgar earlier.
This was partially his own decision, and partly because Edgar had gestured for him to get into that spot. Cass was a little confused as to why Edgar was so insistent, but it all became clear when Edgar began instructing Lucian about what to do.
"I crawled into his lap." Edgar said, gesturing to Cass. "You should do the same." Edgar told Lucian and Cass felt his eyes go wide as the carriage door closed and the large man turned to Cass, a look of determination in his eyes.
Cass wanted to complain, wanted to protest, but how could he do that when Lucian was looking at him like that? Like he was so excited, so eager to do exactly that same thing that Edgar had done?
Edgar was no help. The man was grinning from his spot on the bench across from them. He was making sure he could get a good look at what Lucian was doing, along with Cass' shocked expression.
