Stepping out into the garden, officially, was almost magical to Cass. As his body continued to change the windows that he was able to view the garden with decreased. He'd also been so focused on making sure things got done before his heat that he hadn't been able to stop and appreciate the outside as much.
It was one of the reasons he had wanted to come back to his home, and yet he hadn't had the chance to appreciate it. Now though, he stared at the space around him, the cool air filling his lungs, the sweet sound of birdsong and the plants, slowing down but still alive.
Cass let out a relieved breath, his eyes sparkling with life as he looked around like a kid in a candy store.
Giddy didn't let go of his hand, being tugged around by the other man, while Lucy did, taking a step back to admire the two walking through the gardens. Cass, his head on a damn swivel, and Giddy, who was watching him with an adoring look that Cass didn't seem to catch every time.
