Lucian knew that something was different about Cass this time around. These heats had always brought more out about him. About his demonic side, and about the side of Cass that desired love and affection.
Normally, when Cass was in heat, he was a needy sweet creature, all flushed, hungry and tugging at Lucian's heartstrings. Every last one of them.
However, as soon as Gideon got his hands on Cass in the bathroom, Lucian noticed something a bit strange about Cass. Nothing wrong, of course, but there seemed to be a level of calculation to Cass' actions. Of course Lucian went along with it, he'd be a fool not to when each of his actions resulted with Lucian buried inside of him or Eddie.
Lucian would never complain about something like that, but he did notice how the other two seemed susceptible to his actions. Something wasn't quite right, and it only clicked when Cass was able to flaunt around the room, seductive and alluring with a glimmer in his eyes.
