Chapter 444 - Chapter 444: The North and South Poles!

Dozens of extremely evil auras were streaking toward Earth at high speed from outer space!

They were incredibly fast!

Both Goku and Gohan—grandfather and grandson—were direct disciples personally trained by Taro. Even Goku, by now, could be called a true master of the martial arts. The two of them had honed their ability to sense ki to an extraordinary degree, able to perceive even the faintest ripple in another's energy.

Not to mention, the dozens of auras approaching Earth were, by comparison, quite powerful!

And they weren't trying to hide at all!

"What? Someone's coming to Earth?" Bulma was quick-witted. Hearing the whispers between Goku and Gohan, she froze for half a second before immediately catching on.

"Yeah…" Goku frowned slightly. "They're strong—and evil."

Among the approaching auras, the strongest still wasn't even one-twentieth of Goku's current base power. He could easily ignore them. However… since he himself never displayed his full strength, Goku assumed others might do the same, so he didn't underestimate them.

Besides, for a ki to be this evil—no matter how weak—they couldn't be taken lightly.

Hathaway spoke softly: "If they're evil people coming from space, they're probably from Frieza's side, right?"

"They should be," Goku and Gohan nodded simultaneously.

"Frieza?" Little Gosen recognized the name. He looked up with wide, gleaming eyes.

Goku glanced toward his master. Taro didn't even lift his eyelids. He simply waved his hand dismissively at his disciple and said, "Go on, then. If you want to go, go."

"Heh! Master, then I'm off!" Goku grinned broadly, eyes shining with excitement. If one didn't count the training under Taro, he hadn't had a real battle in over five years. Every bone, every cell in his body seemed to be screaming: Fight! Fight! Let's have a good fight!

"Seriously, just come back early! We still have to prepare for Gosen's island stay!" Bulma knew there was no stopping him and could only give him a reminder.

As for the outcome of the battle, she wasn't worried at all. If Goku were in any real danger, Taro would never have let him go. And besides, she had full confidence in her husband. Since she'd met him, aside from Grandpa Taro, who had ever really beaten Goku?

Nowadays, even Gohan—once known as the second strongest on Earth—had been surpassed by Goku!

Bulma wasn't particularly into martial arts, but on today's Earth where the martial arts flourished, having a husband this powerful was something to be proud of. It gave her serious bragging rights. Look at that—Son Goku, heartthrob of millions of female fans across the world, ended up married to her, didn't he?

As for the possibility that Taro might not be able to judge the enemy's strength… Bulma never even considered it.

Because that was impossible!

"Okay!" Goku remembered the promise he made at their wedding and had always listened to Bulma, so he replied obediently.

Then he and his grandfather Gohan exchanged a glance and nodded—

Boom!

The spot where Goku stood exploded with a bang. He turned into a streak of white flame and, in a single breath, shot into the sky. In the blink of an eye, the glowing trail had vanished…

Suddenly, the light in the sky came to a halt.

"Huh?" Bulma, holding their son in her arms, raised her hand to her forehead to shield her eyes. Mother and son moved in perfect sync, staring into the sky. They had just been marveling at Goku's speed—one second he was right in front of them, and now he was already up in the stratosphere.

Now that they saw he'd stopped midair, Bulma was puzzled.

"They split into two groups…" Gohan murmured as he glanced north, then south.

In his perception, the dozens of evil auras from the distant cosmos had divided as they approached Earth. Five of them, just as he expected, were descending toward the North Pole. The remaining twenty-six continued to soar through the sky, heading southward!

In the heavens, Goku's tiny glowing form hovered, seemingly pondering something. Finally, he made up his mind, let out a sharp snap, and shot in a zigzag pattern—directly toward the northernmost point of Earth!

Gohan couldn't help but chuckle: "Of course he went for the group with the strongest energy."

Taro narrowed his eyes. He looked toward the twenty-six evil energies streaking toward the southern pole of the Earth. Among them, he clearly sensed a presence that felt vaguely familiar… Vegeta! Back on Planet Vegeta, he'd even had a face-to-face encounter with him!

Could he have learned to suppress and control his energy just from that single encounter?

Vegeta had hidden his ki well—but he couldn't hide it from Taro.

Even without using his "ki-sight" technique, Taro's current level made Vegeta's little tricks completely transparent.

But… it didn't matter. Vegeta wasn't in the same league as him anymore. Three hundred years ago, when Taro had just crossed into this world, unsure and uneasy about the future, perhaps he had once viewed Vegeta as an enemy.

But now… even Frieza was no longer an opponent in his eyes—only a whetstone for his disciples.

"Has Jarvis's analysis report come out yet?" Taro turned to Hathaway.

"It has." Hathaway nodded. She naturally understood what her husband was referring to. On the lawn stood a dining table. She walked over, tapped the watch-like device on her wrist, then pressed her palm to the table's surface. A screen appeared, projected above it.

Bulma put little Gosen down and also curiously leaned over to watch. "Is that Goku? Goku's body data?"

"What is it, what is it? Mommy, I want to see too!" Gosen, unhappy about being set down, tugged on Bulma's pants leg.

Bulma picked her son back up. Gosen gazed curiously at the table in front of Hathaway. Projected from it was a video: in the footage, Goku was in a gravity chamber, having trained himself to the brink of death!

A mechanical arm extended and tossed a Senzu Bean into his mouth.

Crunch!

Goku instantly sprang back to life!

At the same time, the real-time analysis graph beside the video spiked to extreme levels—every measurement suddenly maxed out!!

Gohan also came over and, upon seeing this scene, said in realization, "That explains it. At the time, Goku's power level suddenly surged from around a hundred to two hundred thousand… all the way to over two million. Is that a trait of the Saiyan race?" He hit the mark with his guess.

Taro nodded, eyes fixed on the screen in front of Hathaway.

The video ended, replaced by rows of analysis from Jarvis—

"...Saiyans are able to store combat and training experiences, and upon surviving a near-death state, fully unleash them, resulting in a leap in power level... However, Saiyan cells are extremely dominant. Unless the bloodline is naturally passed down, they exhibit aggressive, invasive traits... Based on analysis, extracting gene fragments to create an optimized genetic serum could lead to erosion and assimilation of human genes...

Conclusion: Not recommended!"

---

"Goku went over there, huh!"

As the Vegeta Squad and the Ginyu Force descended on the North and South Poles, top martial artists scattered across Earth—Tien, Krillin, Chiaotzu, Yajirobe, and others—immediately sensed their arrival.

If one were to use an analogy, the way Vegeta's group arrived—without concealing their presence—was like tossing dozens of red-hot iron pellets into a giant water balloon! For Krillin and the others, it was impossible not to notice!

"Such evil, bloodthirsty ki..."

"It can only be Frieza's people... So they really do exist!"

"They actually landed on Earth!"

At that same moment, three venerable masters—the Master Jifen, Master Yixin, and the old monk of Orin Temple—also noticed the disturbance. Each left their courtyard or room, glanced in each other's direction from vast distances, and even though they were separated by thousands of miles, they knew what the others were thinking. Without a word, all three began flying toward the South Pole.

"Where's Master going?" Their disciples looked up in surprise and confusion.

Krillin and the others noticed where the old masters were headed too.

"Since those three are heading south… and it's been a while since I saw Goku, I'll go check out the north! These guys from space…" Clad in a straw cape, Krillin stepped out from the forest. Though short, he had the commanding presence of a master in tune with nature. He glanced up at the sky and gave a cold smirk.

"If this is all they've got, they're not qualified to invade Earth!"

Snap!

He turned into a streak of white light, soaring toward the North Pole!
