Zica began narrating, his voice steady, almost distant.
"When God created the universe…. He made seven entities that broke His own fundamental rules—rules of nature, soul, space, matter, energy…"
Jace blinked "So, God created beings that broke his own rules?"
"Yes. He made exceptions—pure embodiments of those broken laws. These became known as the Seven Rejectors.
He paused, letting the weight of the words settle.
"Librian—the Rejector of Nature. It could bend the laws of biology, manipulate life and death at will.
Zikrion, the Rejector of Energy—its inheritor could create energy limitlessly, capable of unimaginable feats."
Jace's eyes lit up slightly.
"So they basically grant superpowers?"
"Kinda." Zica nodded. "And the whole cosmos, everyone—every being, every empire—craved these Rejectors. It led to the greatest war the universe had ever seen. After this clash an empire rose above every other…" he paused, "…were beings of planet 0B0T, the victors of war, who were far stronger than anyone's imagination could ever go, they defined power and impossibility itself…. And their leaders were Zexus, Lukus and Sicus"
"So, these were aliens of some planet?"
"Yeah, in a way. At the time all of the rejectors were inherited except one—Amberion, the Rejector of Space. No one in cosmos was able to get their hands upon Amberion no matter how many souls or worlds tried to get their hands on it; each one fell in ruins of death. But now it was time for the strongest to try the beings from 0B0T and the home land of Amberion was—Earth. Planet 1T2B."
Jace's expression tightened slightly, trying to follow.
"They built their civilization on earth, as Gods. Humans worshipped them. Even though these mortal Gods never lacked power but one of them wanted to get his hands on amberian, it was Lukus the least strong among three but each and attempt ended in failure—and in blood. Countless lives were lost. Still, No one came even close to Amberion."
Zica's voice darkened a little.
"But then—800 years ago—a human stood before Amberion… and defeated it."
Jace's eyes widened.
"Wait. A human beat that thing? How could a single human do something that even strongest civilisation couldn't?"
Zica nodded slowly.
"His name… was Arecus. He didn't just defeat Amberion. He claimed its heart—and became the first inheritor of Amberion."
They stopped walking again. Zica stared out at the horizon, his voice low and solemn now.
"But the hatred among the Gods burnt inside the heart of him like a never-ending flame, the systems that made no one equal. He hated them. Loathed them."
"So, what did he do?" Jace asked, though he already felt the answer coming.
Zica looked at him directly now.
"He was strong really strong…. Strong enough to face these Gods, the fact that he fought all three of them at once and that fight resulted in the death of Lukus…. After that he declared war. rebellion against the Mortal Gods. And it wasn't just symbolic—he led humanity in a real war. The War of anger, they called it."
Jace stayed silent, absorbing every word.
"The war resulted in the death of Arecus and withdrawal of mortal Gods from earth," Zica said quietly.
"But as you said he was super strong how did he die then? I mean he was able to take down amberion and one of the mortal Gods that too while doing 1v3, why would he fail?" Jace asked
"Well, he wasn't killed, it was a suicide."
"Huh, suicide!? Don't give me that crap, Arecus would never do such a thing" Jace shouted breathing heavily anger burning inside him as he added "Even if there would be a one percent chance of victory Arecus would still do it and you are saying that he committed suicide? You have any idea what you are talking about? Fool."
Zica looked at him calmly… then smiled.
"You asked the same thing before… But it is for the best that you find it by yourself"
Jace's rage exploded. He grabbed Zica by the collar.
"TELL ME WHY!!"
Zica didn't resist. He looked directly into Jace's eyes, gaze solemn.
"Calm down, Jace.
…This isn't you."
