Chapter 205 - The Devastator

The Mandalorian Clans had surprisingly collectively seized fighting upon hearing that the Mandalore was dead and Emperor Daimon was now the new Mandalore. Many of them knew the power of the Emperor and his fighting ability. He was a warrior worth serving should they so choose.

The Sith troopers got angry and tried turned on the Mandalorians which proved to be their mistake as the Mandalorians were able to kill almost all of them.

The clan leaders from each clan had come to the Hall and almost all of them bowed down to Daimon's rule. 3 clans leaders which included two big clans refused and were killed by Daimon in a duel. He could have just had others do the job, but it was better to do the Mandalorian way so that the tensions between them wouldn't cause problems.

From here he announced some major changes. The Mandalorians would centralize power under 5 major clans who will lead them and the other clans into the future. Small clans will still have power and be represented and they could even try to fight one of the bigger clans to take power.

Daimon did this to keep promoting a martial society among the Mandalorians and keep them from getting any other ideas. Once peace came, what were the Mandalorians going to do without a need for war. The only other thing would be to compete amongst themselves.

As the Mandalore, he declared that they would take back the remaining Mandalorians systems from the Sith and push the Sith all the way back to Korriban.

From there he started reorganizing the various clans, while also respecting the Mandalorians culture. Within a month, things started to change and the Mandalorians were becoming a force.

Mandalore itself was completely secured during this month, and Daimon had proceeded with his invasion of the Sith Empire, first targeting the systems around Mandalore. It took about two months to reclaim them alongside the Mandalorians.

Once that was done, it was time to head to the Sith core territory. With him, he brought the massive Abominor Superweapon that was used against him and the allied fleets during the Abominor war. It was a massive planet sized weapon with tons of weapons on it. It has been upgraded with Imperial technology and would not be used to lay waste to the surface of Sith worlds.

It was like the Deathstar, except it didn't blow up planets or shoot just one supercharge laser at a target. It shot hundreds of thousands of different weapons which would lay waste to the surface of the planet, yet not destroy the planet itself.

The first planet Daimon used it on was the Dromund Fels, a shipbuilding colony that had supplied nearly a third of the Sith Empire's capital ship production for the past century.

The Superweapon, designated the Devastator by Imperial engineers after its refit, emerged from hyperspace at the edge of the system flanked by two hundred thousand escort ships. The Sith noticed this weapon because of the energy reading is gave off, but they couldn't stop it since the Devastator was not just for planets, but also for fleets.

As soon as the Sith fleet got into range, they were wiped out in a matter of minutes. The firepower from the Devastator was just too much for them.

After that, the Devastator and its escort moved in on the planet, destroying its orbital defenses and shipyards before it started its bombardment of the surface.

There were millions of civilians on the surface who were killed almost instantly once the bombardment hit the major cities. The shipyards, which were one of the Sith Empire's greatest industrial achievement was not reduced to nothing.

In just a matter of days, the planet itself was turned into nothing. Less than a million people managed to survive by hiding underground, but other than that, it was total destruction. This was just the first of many systems to face the Devastator. Over the course of the next 3 months, Daimon led his forces conquering and slaughtering the Sith as he made his way to Korriban.

While Daimon was leading the efforts against the Sith, the Progenitors were in charge of fighting the Killiks across the galaxy.

After the first month had passed since their initial invasions, the Killiks only increased in numbers and spread across the galaxy. Now the Republic was under attack by Killik forces, but thanks to Daimon waging war aginst the Sith, they were able to pull forces back to hold the Killiks off.

Progenitor Nyssa, who was tasked with helping them, was still in command. The agents of Mnggal-Mnggal who had attacked her were taken as prisoners after being defeated. They were now being held within the Balance Keepers main temple of Veldari under heavy security. Their minds were constantly being probed and tests were constantly conducted on them to figure out where they came from, who their master was, and what was the extent of their abilities.

Progenitor Nyssa was leading both Republic and Ascendants against the Killik forces. During these months, she made a discovery about the Killiks. There were some Killiks who were extremely powerful in terms of raw strength and durability. These Killiks were now identified as Generals as they led forces on the ground.

Killik fleets didn't have a central command and were controlled from wherever the Killik controlled worlds were located, which was a problem that they couldn't solve immediately.

Now, across all fronts, these Generals were being hunted down by Balance Keepers and Ascendant strike teams to get rid of Killik leadership on the ground.

In the Northern part of the galaxy also known as the Northern Imperium territories, Progenitors Syra and Orin had taken control of the Imperium's forces and stabilized the fronts. Accompanying them were their respective legions and 100k Balance Keepers. These forces were organized and transport via Dimensional Gates.

In the Imperial Hutt controlled space, Princess's Luna and Vaelora were reinforced with Progenitors Telys and Darek. With them, they brought their respective legions and 100k Balance Keepers who spread across the battlefields and started to thin out the Killiks numbers.

The remaining Progenitors focused on the Imperium core and reinforcing the other regions of space as needed. Progenitor Varyn as the Director of Imperial Intelligence was placed in charge of searching for information on the Killiks home system and finding Aruun. Joining him and Kaelduun would be the Daughter who wanted nothing but to stop her brother.

What had happened to her father was bad enough, and now something similar had happened to Daimon's son. If she didn't put a stop to this then Aruun would continue to claim more victims and kill billions if not trillions.

And while she couldn't save her father, she was glad to have been there to save Prince Malrik as she didn't know what Daimon would have done if his son had died at the hands of Aruun. She already didn't agree with his new doctrine of killing those who are not involved in the war, but she understood that she was not at liberty to tell him what he could and could not do.

On Veldari, Queen Elara sat next to Malrik as she held his hand. Next to her was Princess Seraphine. The two of them sat in silence as they watched Malrik who could possibly never wake up from his coma. The two of them were practically experiencing the same emotions. They felt depressed and anger at the same time. There was nothing they could do to help him at this time except go on.

"I think we spent enough time in here today. Shall we go?" Elara asked Seraphine.

"Yeah. I guess." She said as she got up and gave Malrik a goodbye kiss. Then she followed Elara outside of the room where two female Balance Keepers of Elara's own species were waiting.

"Are you sure, that this is the path you want to take." Elara asked. She asked this in reference to Seraphine's complete 180 on her stance of reclaiming her ancient birthright and becoming Queen of the Kingdom of Ryloth. Malrik had long asked her and tried to convince her that it would be better if she just went back and became queen. It was his wish that she would restore order to the region and save her people from endless suffering. She always said no as she just didn't want to deal with it, but now that Malrik is in a coma, she wanted to at least fulfill his wish so that when he woke up, she could show him how his wish came true.

"I'm sure." responded Seraphine. "It was his wish for the longest. If he wakes up, I want him to at least see his wish fulfilled."

Elara placed her hand on Seraphine's shoulder. "When he wakes up." she corrected wanting to keep both of their morales up. Seraphine smiled as they continued to walk down the hall way.

They were on their way to the Kingdom of Ryloth to orchestrate a plan that the two of them had come up with and Daimon had approved of.
