Chapter 89 - Solving the Problem...For Now

Inside the Imperial Palace, Daimon was training with his two daughters Luna and Vaelora, alongside his son Malrik. Malrik and Vaelora were twins born in Imperial Year 132 making Luna the older sister. And while each of them knew that they were not true heirs, they still bore the title of Prince and Princess which gave them considerable power as they were the children of Daimon.

The three of them took the appearance of their mother Elara, so they had blue skin rather than purple like Daimon, and they weren't as big as the average male Gen'Dai were.

On one side was Daimon with his eyes blindfolded and on the other side were the three of them. The first to attack was Luna followed by Malrik while Vaelora stayed in her position to try and find a weakness.

Daimon using only the Force and his senses to detect their movements, he raised the training saber in his left hand and blocked Luna. Malrik was close behind, so he pushed Luna back and blocked the other attack coming his direction.

After that, the two of them moved in sync, exchanging blows with Daimon as he gauged just how much they had learned from his training and their time in the Order. Although they were all over 150 years old, this still allowed them to continue growing and learning as they got older and stronger with age.

Vaelora had eventually found what she thought was a weakness, but it ended up being a trap that Daimon led her into. He intentionally let his guard down, drawing Vaelora in only for her to get countered. Now, the three of them were circling Daimon trying to figure out a way to attack. Normally one would think to attack all at once, but that was such a predictable move and Daimon would easily counter it.

The fight went on for about half an hour until they were interrupted by Elara. "Daimon" she called out getting his attention.

He took off his blindfold and turned to Elara who was standing at the entrance. "Want to Join?" he asked unaware of what had just happened.

"No, there is another matter relating to the crackdown of our recruitment of future Force-sensitive children in Republic space." He could see how serious her face was, so he put the training saber down and walked up to her. Malrik, Luna, and Vaelora did the same, sensing that something big was perhaps about to happen.

"Sera is on the way, but she gave me a quick run down." she stated as they had already entered the hallway and started walking to his office. "Three members of the Balance Keepers, a Guardian and two Adepts alongside the children they were escorting back were taken into custody by the Republic while they stopped to refuel. The Republic hasn't issued a public statement, but from what we were able to gather, it's related to an incident that occurred resulting in 8 Jedi being rendered unconscious by the three Balance Keepers after a short physical altercation." As they continued walking, Daimon was already being followed by a number of advisors and other officials. Wherever he went, these people were assigned to follow him and issue any orders outside of official meetings and such. This made the execution of his orders almost immediately.

Hearing this, Daimon was already wrapping his head around the situation. But the fact that the Republic would even do something so bold meant that an idiot was leading it at the moment. He messaged his temples as he knew this was a most likely bullying tactic that the current Chancellor was trying to do on top of their recent efforts to tarnish the relationship between the Republic and the Veldari Imperium.

"I want a strike team deployed immediately. We will rescue the three members of the Order and the children. Anybody who gets in the way during the operation is considered an enemy and will be treated as such." A few people quickly jotted down what he said and sent the message to the Imperial Ministry of War as a Priority one mission.

The Ministry got the message a few seconds later and had already got to work on it. This was one of the many jobs of these advisors and secretaries that follow Daimon around. The job was relatively easy, you just follow Daimon around, deliver his orders as soon as they are said, and get some very good experience out of it.

With his orders being issued, Daimon had walked into his office where he demanded to be left alone with Elara. From here, he already had a plan in his mind. "I am going to pay the Chancellor a visit." he stated.

Looking at his expression, Elara could tell that this was not going to be a normal meeting nor was it going to be an official meeting in any way. "Alone" she asked.

"Yes," was all Daimon said. She could see that there was nothing she could say to change his mind, so she just said what she could.

"I won't try to stop you since that's impossible. And there is no one capable of harming you at the moment, but I will still say to be careful." she said.

Daimon smirked at her, "Don't worry, sometimes you just have to talk to idiots and set their minds right. Once I am done, this entire situation will be resolved." She nodded then left the room shortly after.

Once she was gone, Daimon told the Guards not to allow anyone into his office for the time being. After that, he created a Force portal which led directly to the Chancellor's office. As he stepped through, he searched for cameras but didn't sense any within the Chancellors office. The Chancellor wasn't in his office at the moment, so Daimon sat down in his chair and waited for him to enter. Since they wanted to try and push him and his Empire around, he was going to show them what they wanted to see.

Meanwhile, after about half an hour had passed. A team of Gen'Dai special forces had already received their briefing and were already onboard their ship heading into Republic space. The ship they were on was a Republic freighter that would pose as a trader coming to sell his cargo, but in the small hanger of the freighter would be the stealth ship that would be released once they entered the system.

Onboard the freighter, Lieutenant Commander Threxil was talking to his men as they embarked on their mission. "Brothers, this mission was bestowed upon us by the Emperor himself. As you all may know, those Republic scumbags have taken 3 members of the Balance Keepers captive and are illegally holding them hostage alongside the children that were with them. We will get them out of here by any means necessary. Once we enter the atmosphere we will split into two teams of 8. One team led by me will go to the Balance Keepers, while the other team will be led by Lieutenant Bren will get the children. Our objective is clear, and we have been blessed by the Emperor to carry out this mission. Are there any questions?" nobody raised their hands as they all understood what their mission was.

A few hours later, back in the Chancellor's office. The door to his office had opened and in he walked, tired from a long day of meetings and travelling. The Senate Guard had remained outside while Chancellor Dearic entered his office alone. As soon as the door closed, he began to walk up to his desk, only for it to spin around and reveal a familiar figure sitting in the chair.

Chancellor Dearic recognized Daimon immediately and had shouted for the Senate Guard. 3 members of the Senate Guard had run in, but with a wave of his hand, Daimon knocked them out instantly. Chancellor Dearic looked shocked and tried to run away, but the door closed right in front of his face.

"Sit down Chancellor." Daimon said in a very threatening voice. Chancellor Dearic had no choice but to step over the bodies of the Senate Guard and sit on the chair in front of his own desk. On the other hand, Daimon just stared at him for a few seconds before saying what he wanted.

"This is how things are going to go. I have a team already heading to retrieve the 3 members of my Order that you arrested alongside the children. Your people will try and stop them but will ultimately die. When that happens, you will do nothing and so will the Jedi Order." Daimon infiltrated his mind as they spoke, forcing the Chancellor to do what he wanted. He wasn't going to waste time trying to intimidate the Chancellor into not going ahead with his plans. Instead, it was better to just manipulate his mind, effectively making him a puppet until he was replaced by another.

"If anything, more escalates because of this, I will use the life force of the Billions of people who live on Coruscant to create an army of mindless bodies devoid of any life that will destroy the Republic from within. You are only allowed to continue existing because of the headaches I would get from having to wage another war." By the end of this Chancellor Dearic's mind was completely under Daimon's control.

Since this was the case, he started tweaking his mind, creating a new goal for the Republic which is to ensure that this Chancellor remained neutral. He made it so that the attack that will happen in a few hours will be covered up and won't get out to the broader Republic. After that, the Chancellor would publicly come out, condemning the attack by the Jedi Order which would in turn paint the Jedi Order in a bad light.

This would get payback against the Jedi Order, forcing the public's perception of them to diminish. In addition to that, the actual video involving the fight would be released. A few other things would be done, but those were the main things. Once he was done, Daimon felt the presence of several Senate Guards who were coming in response to the outside Guards not responding.

He quickly created a portal back to his office and left the Chancellor sitting at his desk. When the Senate Guard rushed in, Chancellor Dearic reported that somebody had broken into his office and was still running rampant somewhere in the building. The commander of the Guard got on his communicator and alerted the rest of the guard. A building wide lockdown commenced alongside a search.

Meanwhile Daimon returned back to his office as if nothing had happened. This action he took would ensure the Republic remain neutral for the time being, but who knows what the future Chancellors will do in response. Tensions would continue rising because of Border conflicts and the clash of ideologies. However, the same couldn't be said for the coalition empires who will most likely continue their cold war against the Imperium. Daimon didn't care as long as nobody died, and the Imperium's interests weren't threatened.

Back on the transport ship heading towards the planet where the three Balance Keepers and children were being held, they were 5 hours away from their target, so they took this time to study the map of the holding facility and the place where the kids were being held. They wanted to be prepared and execute their mission with 100% efficiency.
