Si Lu directly treated Song Zhan like a big human-shaped body pillow.
Song Zhan was very obedient, allowing himself to be hugged at any moment without resistance. Likewise, his pair of brown eyes earnestly gazed at Si Lu, filled with love.
Looking at Si Lu like this, his heart felt incredibly content.
It wasn't until the sun was high in the sky that Si Lu finally woke up.
She stretched lazily and, upon seeing the soft and cute big tiger beside her, leaned over and gave him a kiss.
Song Zhan didn't expect Si Lu to suddenly kiss him. You couldn't even begin to describe how happy he was—it was like his heart bloomed with joy, and even his tail started wagging.
"Lu Lu," Song Zhan called out happily.
"You can probably feel it, right? I think I'm already pregnant with a little tiger cub. We're going to have a fluffy little tiger. Ah Zhan, you're going to have your own cub. You're going to be a father."
"Happy? Excited? Surprised?" Si Lu said with a smile.
"Mm mm! Happy, excited, surprised—Lu Lu, you're the best." Song Zhan hugged Si Lu, beaming with joy.
He believed Si Lu completely.
If Si Lu said she had a cub in her belly, then she definitely had a cub in her belly.
"I'm really happy too," Si Lu said, smiling.
"Alright, I'm hungry. Let's get up and eat something," Si Lu said, rubbing her belly.
She didn't know if it was because of the hard work last night or because she was pregnant with the cub, but in any case, she felt super hungry. The moment she opened her eyes, she was starving—she just wanted to eat and couldn't even control it.
Song Zhan transformed into his human form and thoughtfully dressed Si Lu before the two of them walked out of the cave.
Feeling the warm sunlight on her skin, Si Lu truly enjoyed it.
Not only that, but since they were near the sea, the air was full of that distinct ocean scent.
At first, she had found it a bit strange and uncomfortable, but now Si Lu was already used to it. Everything here was pretty great.
As soon as she came out, she saw her little Cheng Yu running around and playing. When he spotted her, he quickly ran toward her. Si Lu bent down and picked the little guy up into her arms, patting his head.
"This little guy runs around like he's on sugar every day, even in such a vast and empty place. But that's good too—helps train his reflexes and his body," Cheng Mo said with a smile as he looked at Si Lu.
"Mm, that's good," Si Lu nodded.
"Food's all ready. Come over and eat—we've got meat soup, seafood porridge, and, of course, roasted meat. Whatever you feel like eating, we've got it," Bai Di said with a smile as he looked at Si Lu.
He had already figured out Si Lu's preferences. When she got up, she wanted food—but of course, she had to wash up first.
"Lu Lu, I've boiled hot water for you. Starting today, you can wash your face with hot water—the weather's getting a bit chilly," Bai Di added.
"Mm mm, Ah Di, you're really so thoughtful," Si Lu nodded, her eyes filled with a smile.
Wasn't he just?
Bai Di really was considerate and caring.
"Just doing what I should," Bai Di said a little shyly.
Being praised like that by the little female made his heart feel sweet—and a little bashful too.
"Lu Lu, come wash up," Cheng Mo said as he poured water for her to wash her face and brush her teeth.
"Mm mm, it's really great to have you guys," Si Lu said, placing the little guy down so he could play on his own.
Then she went to wash up.
After she was done, she sat by the fire and began enjoying being fed.
Bai Di fed her seafood porridge, Cheng Mo fed her roasted meat, and Song Zhan peeled shrimp for her.
All three of them were feeding Si Lu.
"Did Hei Yao and Nansi go hunting?" Si Lu asked.
"They did. They left at dawn with the hunting team," Cheng Mo replied.
They had already agreed on who would go hunting and were taking turns—of course, except for Bai Di.
Bai Di was a shaman doctor, so naturally, he couldn't leave Si Lu. He had to take care of Si Lu and the cub. Also, Bai Di wasn't great at hunting, so he didn't need to go out. He just had to stay with Si Lu.
None of her mates had any objections to this.
Bai Di staying by Si Lu and the cub's side allowed him to be the most useful.
After all, among all of her mates, only Bai Di was a shaman doctor who understood medicine. If the little female or cub didn't feel well, they could only rely on him to care for them.
"Mm." Si Lu glanced toward the outskirts of the tribe. Even though she knew Hei Yao and the others were strong, she couldn't help but feel a little worried.
She couldn't help it!
They were all people she cared about—how could she not worry?
"Ah Di, Ah Mo, let's go to the seaside later and bring Little Cheng Yu with us. I don't think he's seen the ocean yet."
"The sun's nice and warm today—bet the seaside feels really comfy," Si Lu said to the two of them.
She also glanced at the little guy not far away who was playing by himself.
He was playing all alone—it was kind of lonely.
And staying near the cave every day wasn't much fun either.
Before, she had taken him to visit Tata's place, where he had fun playing with the other little ones.
But this time, she wanted to go to the beach to feel the sea breeze.
And take her child to play by the sea.
"Alright, once you finish eating, we'll go," Cheng Mo said with a smile.
He agreed—Little Cheng Yu had been looking a little bored the past couple days.
Being cooped up here all day wasn't great.
Taking the little female and the cub to the seaside would definitely be refreshing.
After Si Lu finished eating, they set off for the beach.
Si Lu walked barefoot, her fair little feet leaving footprints on the sand.
Behind her, Little Cheng Yu mimicked his mother, stepping in the sand and leaving his own set of footprints, having a blast.
As he played, he started digging holes in the sand.
Cheng Mo stood nearby, watching the happy cub and the little female leaving footprints.
Meanwhile, Bai Di was rummaging around the beach.
Since they were already here, he figured he might as well see if he could find any seafood. He knew Si Lu loved seafood—maybe he could gather some to take back. You can never have too much food!
Especially if it's something the little female liked—he'd definitely put in extra effort to find some.
Sure enough, he found some lobsters—not as big as the ones they'd had before, but still about the size of a palm. He even found an octopus. He knew Si Lu loved grilled squid—they'd tried it before, and it was delicious. The taste still lingered in their memories.
Luckily, Bai Di had brought a beast hide bag. He stuffed all the seafood he found into the bag, then continued to rummage around the rocks by the shore.
When Si Lu was done playing, she saw Bai Di further ahead. She quickly ran over to him.
"Ah, Di, you're looking for seafood?" Si Lu asked.
"Yep! I want to make another seafood feast for you when we go back," Bai Di said with a smile.
As long as the little female liked it, he was happy to do it.
Besides, gathering seafood was easy—he wanted to do it well.
"Ah, Di, you're so sweet," Si Lu said with a bright smile, eyes full of joy.
At that moment, Little Cheng Yu looked up and saw his mother so far away and immediately started running after her.
Cheng Mo looked at the little guy helplessly and followed along.
In truth, when he saw Si Lu walking toward Bai Di earlier, he had wanted to follow right away.
But Little Cheng Yu was still digging around and playing—he couldn't just leave the little cub alone. So, he had to stay and keep watch.
Even though the distance wasn't far, he still couldn't leave the cub too far behind. He had to stay close because the seaside could be dangerous. He couldn't let his cub get into any trouble.
Besides, this cub was born through Si Lu's painful struggle—he had to be extra careful.
Looking at the little one's back, Cheng Mo couldn't help but smile wryly. This little cub really was most attached to the little female.
