After losing his wings, Sam crashed to the ground, slamming into the square with a thunderous impact that sent cracks spreading across the stone beneath him.
His eyes flared open, burning with rage and resolve as he glared up at the seven beings standing before him.

Every other awakener had already fled far from the square, leaving only Sam and them behind.

"Good thing the King gave us that, huh?" Damon chuckled, his grin filled with mockery. "Thank you, Your Majesty!"
"We will all pray and thank the King later," Olivia murmured, her hands still clasped in a calm, eerie prayer. "Until then… let us finish the job."
