Garius glanced up at the sky, a faint smile crossing his usually stern face.
"Thanks to your inventions, we have a huge advantage over any enemy. From instant communication and ensuring our people's safety, to surveillance that our enemies cannot evade, we are far ahead of anyone who would dare to challenge us."
He paused, his expression growing more serious.
"But I'm afraid we will be very busy after this, my youngest son. And we don't know…" He paused again, his voice dropping into a soft, serious tone. "…what the future holds for Armand. Whether we will continue to prosper, or face trials that will test us to our very limits."
Javier fell silent when he heard those words from his father.
It's rare for Father to say something like that.
Does this mean the unknown group I saw from the mana satellite surveillance is truly a threat to us?
Even with our strongest army, our elite assassin household, our most powerful special units, and every advantage we possess?
