"Yes," Lair said with a smile, "I've started selling humans..."
He suddenly froze halfway through his sentence.
He looked at the children in front of him with hopeful eyes, yet in his mind, images of the other batch of children he saw that night in those prisons flashed through. The words at the tip of his tongue suddenly couldn't be spoken anymore.
"Angel sir?" the children asked, "What did you say about selling? We didn't hear clearly."
Lair was silent for a moment, shook his head, and said, "Nothing, just some children's things, toys and such."
The children here didn't know what toys were either, but they could sense that Lair's emotions suddenly turned a bit down, so they immediately panicked, thinking they had done something wrong, and hurriedly apologized.
