No meaning at all?
Upon hearing this, Lair stood in place in a daze for quite a while until the envoy leading the way noticed something amiss. He turned back with slight confusion and asked, "Is there a problem?" It was only then that Lair snapped back to reality.
"No, nothing." Lair quickly caught up, "I was just a bit curious."
The envoy wasn't a fool either. Seeing Lair repeatedly asking about the Isolation Zone and even knowing about those abandoned villages, he could naturally sense something was off, but he didn't inquire immediately, merely giving Lair a meaningful glance.
Lair could naturally feel that the envoy was already suspicious of him, which made him panic even more, not for fear of the envoy but out of fear of Lord Visas inside him.
His uncontrollable barrage of self-destructive questions just now was noticeable even to this envoy, so how could he even hope to deceive Lord Visas?
