"Ade, we're about to become hunters!"
"Howl!"
Vic opened his eyes, in front of him was a broken window, through which he could see the misty night sky outside.
"Had a nightmare?"
A familiar voice came, and Vic turned his head to see Bai Wei sitting not far from him, throwing sticks of wood onto the campfire.
The flames licked the wood, making a "crackle" sound, echoing the "thud, thud" of the corpse ghosts pushing the door from outside.
"You haven't slept yet?" Vic asked.
"Yeah, maybe we're almost there, feeling kind of excited."
Vic was a bit curious: "You can feel excited too?"
"I mean you," Bai Wei said calmly, "You've been talking in your sleep since you fell asleep, waking me up several times."
"...Sorry." Vic didn't know if he had been talking in his sleep, but he knew he had been dreaming, so he sat up straight and, after surveying the small cabin they were in for a moment, said softly, "Back then, Ade and I spent our first night here too."
