Chapter 33 - Chapter 2.1 Aristocratic Daughter VS Reborn Adopted Daughter

The bustling crowds of Hua City International Airport filled the air with constant movement.

Every day, countless people passed through—travelers of different backgrounds and nationalities.

Many passengers subconsciously turned their heads toward one direction.

There stood a man in a custom-tailored black suit that perfectly outlined his tall, straight figure. On his handsome face, his slightly furrowed brows and focused gaze revealed he was waiting for someone.

Several single women nearby quietly wondered who could be important enough to make such a man wait.

They soon found out.

The man's eyes lit up, and the icy expression on his face softened. He walked forward quickly.

"Xixi!"Gu Shengyin, who was in the crowd, instinctively lifted her head toward the man approaching her.

As she looked at him, the surrounding people looked at her.

Because she was traveling, Cheng Xizhi was dressed fairly simply. Her light green dress traced the lines of her figure. Her oversized sunglasses covered half her face, and her light brown, loosely curled hair gave her a charming air.

A slender waist, long legs, and fair, beautiful skin were what truly defined Cheng Xizhi.

"Big brother." Cheng Xizhi flashed him a bright smile and naturally handed her luggage to him.

Cheng Boxuan looked at his younger sister with indulgence and accepted his role as her porter without hesitation. If the company employees saw that gentle expression, the general manager would probably shout in disbelief.

"Big brother, Second brother didn't come?" Cheng Xizhi—now Gu Shengyin—asked.

Cheng Boxuan replied, "There was an art exhibition opening today. It was impossible for him to come."

Gu Shengyin pouted. "So work is more important than his little sister? Just wait till I get home—I'll make sure to exploit him mercilessly!"

Gu Shengyin's role in this mission was to portray a pampered little princess. With her good family background and all the affection she received, she could act spoiled without worrying about being scolded.

Cheng Xizhi was the daughter of Cheng Zhensheng, chairman of Chengshi Corporation, and his beloved wife. The couple adored their daughter. After marrying, they had two sons, and when their daughter Cheng Xizhi was finally born, they were overjoyed. Cheng Zhensheng even personally visited a renowned master of physiognomy to choose the name "Xizhi." Afraid she would grow up lonely, they also adopted the daughter of a distant relative who was only slightly older than her.

The adopted daughter of the Chengshi Corporation's chairman—many people envied that identity, and the couple gladly accepted her.

The adopted daughter's name was Cheng Yiru. She was nominally regarded as Cheng Xizhi's older sister.

At eighteen, the original Cheng Xizhi learned she was engaged to the second young master of Yuanshi Corporation in Hua City—Yuan Hang. It had originally been a well-matched marriage between two prominent families. However, no one expected that Yuan Hang actually liked her older sister, Cheng Yiru.

Cheng Yiru also had feelings for Yuan Hang. The two carried on in secret, remaining involved even after Cheng Xizhi learned about her arranged engagement to him.

After the marriage, Cheng Xizhi was constantly neglected by her husband. Then one day, while out with friends, she saw Yuan Hang and Cheng Yiru kissing in the parking lot. Only then did she realize her husband was having an affair with her own older sister.
