If it was for someone else's work and involved overtime on some shitty job no dog would even touch, he'd probably feel drained within minutes and start pondering the meaning of life.

Roger didn't think about such profound things; he didn't even know where the end of the universe was, how could he possibly know the meaning of life, to him, it was probably finding that bird from his childhood.
