Alynad sneered, "Lord Sarquis is personally responsible for the Divine Son, what does this have to do with you? Useless trash."
After speaking, he no longer engaged in further debate with Rashaim, who was in a trance, and instead knocked on the door and entered the inner chamber.
Inside, candlelight flickered, an altar stood enshrined with a mud-sculpted statue.
A man in a black suit, eyes closed, was kneeling in front of the sculpture.
He had a square face, a hooked nose, pale skin, prominent brow bones, deep eye sockets, and an overall genteel and noble demeanor, yet there was an indescribable discordance about him.
Alynad looked at the man's back and slowly knelt down.
