"My mom asked me to check if there are any vegetable sellers on the dam, and buy some vegetables to bring home."

We chatted as we walked and reached the river dam. It was evening, and the temperature had dropped. Lots of people were out for walks on the dam, and there were elderly people selling vegetables on their tricycles at intervals.
"Let's buy some vegetables and also wait for Chuchu."
Xue Yuantong ran to a vegetable stall, noticed the vegetables weren't very fresh, and didn't buy any.
While buying vegetables, Chuchu's mother passed by on her electric scooter. Xue Yuantong called out, and Xue Chuchu got off the bike.
"Chuchu, come have dinner at our place tonight, come on, and help me pick vegetables."
Xue Chuchu agreed with a nod and then smiled and greeted Jiang Ning.
