Eden's pupils constricted sharply.
"What did you say?" he demanded.
Despite his suspicions, Eden hadn't considered that a Monk of the Fahela Sect would be directly involved in the assassination attempts, let alone that Timian would know the person.
"Do you know what he has done?" Eden interrogated.
Timian's face flushed with urgency as he stammered out an explanation:
"This, this must be a misunderstanding, he was deceived, it must be so."
"But that's exactly what happened," Eden replied coldly.
"I swear to God, he's not like that, and moreover, Elder Fahela taught us never to commit acts of injustice," Timian said, struggling.
Eden looked at the half-breed, pondering deeply.
Indeed, if he did as Timian suggested and rescued the assassin, exposing himself would bring tremendous risk his way.
