The Green Robed Buddha's attitude was quite respectful, seemingly beyond reproach.
Zhou Xuan sat on the reclining chair under the Ancestor Tree. Though it was a reclining chair, he did not lie down, but rather sat with his back straight, somewhat in the style of sitting upright with dignity.
He asked the Green Robed Buddha, "How do the gods on the Heavenly Dome address you?"
"Elevated by the gods of the Heavenly Dome, even though I, the Green Robed Buddha, rank the least among the twenty-four God-level beings, everyone sees my Buddhist name and calls me 'Old Buddha'."
In the itinerant world, whenever a name is prefixed with "Old," it signifies respect,
such as "Old Mister" or "Old Senior," and naturally, the "Old" in Old Buddha denotes respect as well.
Zhou Xuan nodded and said, "Then I'll call you Old Buddha too. Old Buddha, there's some grievance between us, right?"
"There was some grievance before."
