What caught the eye most was their faces, each a "white paper".
From the side, their heads seemed to have a vertical slice removed, taking away the eyes, nose, and mouth, leaving a flat surface.
The white paper fit right on top.
Their feather-light breaths seeped through the white paper, and black specks appeared and disappeared in various areas of the paper.

A dense sound came from deep within the woods,
A collection of monsters from various regions of the Middle Layer arrived simultaneously, ready to board.
