Feng Province Provincial City, Inspection Department.
Several black sedans stopped outside the gates of the Inspection Department, and more than a dozen officials in blue uniforms stepped out of the cars, heading straight towards the entrance.
"Who are you?"
The guards at the gate quickly asked.
The leading official took out a document stamped with an emblem:
"We are from the Inspection General Office of Datong Prefecture, ordered to investigate the case!"
The two guards, upon seeing the stamp of the Central Monitoring Pavilion on the document, were taken aback and about to speak, but the group of officials from Datong Prefecture had already barged inside.
Soon, the people at the Inspection Department were alerted.
"People from the Inspection General Office of Datong Prefecture? Investigating us? They must be out of their minds!"
Many officials' first reaction was to find the situation absurd.
