The high-speed car was still sliding forward on the road as Pad's face turned ashen in the search for the driver's silhouette, only to feel the wild wind pouring in from the window.
Beside him, Melbourne seemed utterly composed, even finding the time to wipe the bamboo flute he had just used.
"The driver's gone!"
Pad yelled at Melbourne with all his might, to which Melbourne calmly nodded:
"I saw. It was an unruly child. The driver must have gone to deal with it, he'll be back soon."
"Unruly… child? There are bears in Yan Country's downtown areas? I thought only the cities in Ussas had those…" Pad was quite doubtful of Melbourne's mental state. The fleeting shadow from before and the crisp sound above the car roof didn't seem at all bear-like, did they? In fact, if it weren't for his experience in arresting soul system and intangible system superpower users, he might have thought he'd seen a ghost!
